I feel like I've just been transported from the damp drizzly north east to beautiful sunny France. Thank you Luke & Zara! The weather looked glorious & the architecture, wow, simply stunning! As mentioned the Mediterranean lifestyle is completely different of that in the UK and London. I lived in Spain for a number of years (after it being my 'dream' for more than 30 years!). And although Spain and most of the Med is beautiful country along with its people, I found it difficult to slow-down. Not physically, but definitely mentally, ie, just simply adjusting to the daily system, formalities and business way of life etc. Many people will say, "But isn't the 'pace of lifestyle' one of the great things about the Med?". Well yes. But there is a big difference between living and working, to that of going for short or long holidays. And that is what many do not fully understand. One thing that I did learn about living abroad and its comparisons with UK and in my case, London. Was that on reflection, it took me to leave the country to actually appreciate the one that I had left had everything that i needed. That is not to say that I will never go back to spain for holidays.

Thank you Luke for taking me along with you to France 🇫🇷. Amazing places and things. Nice and Monaco, it is so beautiful. Zara looks amazing with her beautiful outfits. Great scenery. Love the Old buildings. Fantastic Vlog.

The best Tomatoes are homegrown. We have huge Beef Tomatoes and other varieties growing on our plots. So sweet! I love to make base sauces, bag it, flat pack, then freeze them. I simply love it when you take us along with you!! Just Awesome! Thank you both! ❤❤

Oh I love Nice - you've taken me right back as to why we love it, recognised most of it, I need a visit now! I thought the little apartment was so nice - I love seeing how small spaces are utilised - clever ideas. I do agree with Zara though, a week would be enough, but then if you've got everything on your doorstep, it would be fine. All the Mediterranean countries have this slow down way of life, specially in summer time. The heat is the one to blame on. In Spain, where i live, in the Barcelona zone, people meet to have supper around 22:00, when the temperatures have dropped a little bit. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. As always I've enjoyed your video very much. Zara's dresses were all lovely and very appropriate for each occasion. I assume she can't wear them that much back home, due to the English weather. Keep well!

Hi Luke, what a wonderful break. The south of France is amazing. I've been lucky to travel all over France many times, living over the border in Italy. You probably didn't know but Nice is more Italian than some places in Italy😂. I agree that the med life-style in the summer is great too. The evenings are busier than the days as people stay out of the midday heat but go out at night.

I’m so excited that in less than two weeks my husband and I will arrive in France for a visit to my sister in a small village in Haute-Vienne, and of course a couple of nights in Paris before returning to USA. I’ve never been to the south of France…and your trip gave me the idea that we should totally visit Nice and make the day trip to Monte Carlo. The 40C heat looked horrific, though. Somehow you and Zara made it look très chic.

Very nice trip. I was surprised that people were very slow paced and relaxed there. Love the ring you bought,Luke and all of Zara’s dresses were beautiful. My favorite was the green dress. So strange that the locals ate more Italian food there than they do French food. Your prawns looked delicious and so did Zara’s pizza. What a wonderful birthday week you’ve had, Luke. Glad you had a fab birthday trip to Nice, we love the South of France and have been so many times. The train in Monoca is a must as it goes all over and you can get on and off all day (saves walking in the heat). I am literally just looking to book a girls trip for next year to Nice/Cannes.
