The Bluebells would do very well under the conifer, it would provide the 'woodland' conditions they so love and would help contain them to prevent them spreading everywhere. The garden is looking really lovely, It is so good to finally be able to enjoy some lovely sunny weather! Have a good week Luke Sarah and Maggie. ⛱🌤🪴🌹🌻🥀

Lupins have a very long tap root and like nice deep soil. They can be grown in pots but grow much stronger and healthier in the ground. I would cut the sad looking flowers off - they have had it - and you might get another flush. Plants we grow in our garden originate from different environments all over the world and l can’t stress enough the importance of finding out what conditions they like and try and give them what they will be happy with. You wouldn’t plant a rose in the desert! Good luck 😀

A couple of simple gardening tips Luke. Just hoe around your plants once or twice a week to keep the weeds down. Much easier than having to get down on your hans and knees ! Always check the label ( or google) to ensure that any plant you buy is suitable to grow in a container Saves a lot of disappointment. You’ve done so well for your first gardening season 👨‍🌾👨‍🌾👨‍🌾👍👍

Your plants will really appreciate feeding, especially annuals and bulbs something like miracle grow or tomorite, feed is essential for plants in pots/containers. I'm sure if you cut the lupins and plant them in the border with some compost they'll come again, if they grow tall you might need to stake them with bamboo canes and string. Gardening is addictive😉

Your garden looks amazing you've done a great job there. Little tip for you luke. Buy a spray bottle and put about 2 teaspoon size amount of washing up liquid in the spray bottle and then fill with water. And spray it on your greenery/plants I.E you have with the big leafs. It keeps the bugs off and you can buy some copper tape from garden centres and tape it round the bottom of your pots that stops the slugs climbing up and munchin on your plants. Your doing amazing in your home. Rember to have you time aswel. Have a lovely rest of your week😊

Hi Luke. I reckon you should add a simple irrigation line along the fence. They are dead easy to install and you can either turn the tap on in the evening or set it on a timer. I planted 26 trees along my driveway and installed some irrigation and it's a game changer.

Garden looks lovely Luke… any new plants always give them a good soak before planting up, never plant dry on dry soil, gives your plants a good start when planting, drooping means thirsty, nearly dead, cut off to give plant a better start. Hope that helps, watching this I wanted to jump in car & give you a hand lol ❤

The plant with the small white flowers looks like a Philadelphus ( mock orange). So pleased that you've widened your borders as I feel they always look so much better. A good mulch helps the ground retain water and prevents the growth of weeds and according to Monty Don giving your plants a really good water once a week is better than " little and often", this works well for my garden. Also horticultural grit on the top of your pots looks good and also prevents dry out, especially on your olive tree.

Gardening learning curve, those lupins looked really root-bound. Always soak your plants in a bucket of water (for at least an hour) b4 planting. The best thing about gardening is . . . it's all about the future, there is always something to look forward to. This is why it helps people with mental health issues . . . I know!

Hi Luke, I grow lupins an have lots of them. As already mentioned they do have big roots but the plants can be tough as old boots. You can make extra plants from them by dividing the roots. They are extremely thirsty plants because of the big flowers so if you want to keep them in pots I would add some water retaining gel. They will do much better in the ground. Also just cut off those floppy leaves. And keep a look out for lupin aphid, it's a real pain. Btw check those bluebells aren't Spanish, they can be very invasive if put in the ground. Love the garden, looks great. Keep up the good work. ❤

Just in time for the summer time and summer parties with friends. The interior of the house is looking better every day that goes by. I can't wait to see the walls painted. It will be such a change. Today it's quite cloudy, and expecting rain in some parts of the Spanish northeast coast, and tonight it's a night that we celebrate Saint John's night with parties and big bonfires until sunrise, with lots of food and drinks 🎉🍾🥂 We need rain so much, but hope the rain doesn't spoil the evening. I'd plant the lupin in the ground, dig a big wide hole, plant to the depth of the soil in the pot. Water well, I'd also trim all the old flower spikes so the pant can concentrate it's energy on settling in, also remove any spent flowers on the new spikes before they set seed. That will also help it settle into its new spot x❤🇮🇪

Only thing I don't enjoy are weeds. I laid block edging to replace railway ties which had rotted. I was lucky my sister had at least 300 blocks. I have only 5 left. Yes my garden is bigger than yours. I learned alot overcome years and several homes.

Luke I would pop those lupins in the ground. And in the dry weather water is the thing the plants want most. Pots dry out very quickly..your wisteria will climb your fence with some help and is one of the early flowers that bring the garden to life and the agapanthus will come back better each year. You can't expect to know what every plant needs from you ,on the whole I would say you are doing well as a plant dad. You will have failures but you will also have many wins well done. Xxx

Luke your lupins will come back, put some of your pebbles in each of your pot plants, they will both look fab and match your garden plus keep the moisture in, tie a bit of string around your lupins, they will look a lot better and less likely to split if they blow down in the wind. You looked fab. I love your vlogs, my partner and I also love being in the garden. Xxx

You are doing fantastically well. Gardening is a learning curve so it's worth keeping a few notes about what works and what didn't do so well. Remember to have fun that is very important. Hard work is important but respite is equally good for you x

Maybe multch the flower beds to retain moisture. It won't harm the fushia to prune it. Just watch a quick video to learn where to prune. Rule of thumb don't prune into the hard wood. You will get a better shape and more branches and flowers.

Blimey! I wish that's all I had to do with my hair on a morning! Takes me ages, you're so lucky! I'm the same as you where the weather is concerned, I feel so much better when it's warm and the sun is shining, it makes all the difference to how you feel. Have just purchased one of those car diffusers from the White Company, didn't even know that they did them so thank you for sharing. Love these kind of vlogs, day in the life and love seeing London.

LOVE love your Backyard!!! It's so very inviting and both you and Zara did a fantastic job on it. I love your idea pulling back a foot or 2 to widen it. I recall you saying that in your previous video on your walk to give it depth. The Garden is glorious 😍 🙌 ✨️ 👌. I also am in love with the Olive tree vessel you brought for 79Lbs. Here in the US it would have cost easily over 150 US $$ OR more. Every single plant & tree love your yard. Please give sweet Maggie a Big hug and kiss from me. BTW: Your haircut looks great and your getting nice coloring tan from the wee Sun 🌞. 🤍🌹🤍

Hi Luke, your "purple globes on a stem" plant is an Agapanthus, a "Lily of the Nile" and they are glorious!...good idea to water your plants (when dry) before transplanting as it's already stressful for them but I'm sure the Lupines will be very happy in that pot..Love Nick and Angela's podcast❣wish they would put the whole series on youtube‼...aabsolutely love your videos around your home, garden and shopping about ...:))))

Hi! The plant you couldn’t remember the name of is a Nemesia. Probably Wisley Vanilla. Nemesia come in lots of colours & flower for months. Also if you let some of flowers go to seed it will self seed & keep coming back. Can you tell they are one of my favourites 😜?. Maggie will probably like to like on the freshly turned over soil, so your plants may get a bit squished. Also think about getting some fertiliser for the plants - google is your friend in these cases. Just remember make sure everything-plants/fertiliser etc is Maggie friendly. Good luck!
