Vitas is (or used to be, he's much older now) a counter-tenor. He could sing in the entire male tenor spectrum, and onwards well into the female soprano range without issue, and made good use of that huge vocal range back then. "Opera #2" isn't even the song he reached his top notes in, I think it was in "Посвящение" ("Dedication"). If I am not mistaken he hits a D sharp over soprano high C there. Nowadays you have similar voices like Dimash', who can easily sing Vitas' old stuff, and even go higher at times, but Dimash' range will shrink too eventually. And Vitas was first with turning counter-tenor things into pop music. Random note: Even if Vitas can't sing the way he used to, 15 years ago, he is still an excellent dancer. You'd be surprised at the Michael Jackson moves he pulled off at the Russian late night show a few years back.

Sad to say, most of his live songs were lip syncing. But the origionals are amazing.
