I had no idea about any conflict with Vitas and Dimash as I just learned of Dimash less than three months ago and had never heard of Vitas until reacting to that song. This was a request by several subscribers. However, I just read this article that mentions Vitas took legal action against the show about use of the song. It appears Sony also sued The Singer about using Queen songs as has Chinese folk rock singer Li Zhi. www.sixthtone.com/news/1003809/hunan-tv-show-accused-of-illegally-airing-queen-songs Copyright issues are something that even I deal with a lot here on KZread. This very video has a copyright claim on it already. I have disputed it. But, that happens with many of my videos, including some of my reactions to Dimash and several others.

Don't worry, you didn't know 😊 The thing is that Vitas and his team not "only" try to sue people who can, contrarily to Vitas who has never sung a single song live, but always lipsyncs to the same studio recordings, sing his songs live, they also insult other artists. A few days after Dimash sang Opera 2 on Singer, Vitas' team publicly insulted Dimash... they publicly insulted a back then internationally rather unknown innocent, extremely nice, talented boy and tried to bring down his international career before it had even started. Vitas' team said that Dimash had no talent at all, neither vocally nor musically in general, that everything he did was tasteless, that the fact that he went higher in the song than Vitas makes him unmanly etc... and I don't know, if this was directly started by Vitas' team or indirectly by simply publicly mocking and insulting Dimash, but from that moment on Dimash social mefia channels and performances on KZread were full with radical Vitas fans heavily, and partly vulgarly, insulting Dimash 😢

@@MasterofVoice Vitas' management sued Singer and Vitas' lawyer sent a threatenening letter to Dimash saying that they would sue him, if he ever sang a Vitas song again. The legal dispute with Singer was quickly settled by a court via diversion that decided that there was no copyright infringement

A few things want to clarify as someone who followed this from the beginning. 1. Vitas team sent a lawyers letter to hunan TV. No other legal actions other than a lawyers letter. 2. The letter was sent to hunan TV, not to Dimash or Dimash team. 3. The performance they claimed properly infringement was not the opera 2 performed on the singer show, but a commercial performance ( meaning Dimash got paid) done on a new year's celebration outside of the singer show on hunan TV. Apparently hunan TV asked Dimash to sing that song but didn't sort out the copy right issue. 4. Vitas, as the author of the song has every right for his claim. I don't see anything wrong in him. He has said Dimash is a very talented singer in an interview and wished him the best. 5. Singer show never put out the queens melody performance on youtube because they didn't get the copy right from the Queen. Why nobody put the Queen down and saying they are jealous of Dimash? Why only vitas?

Some people use their anonymity on the Internet to behave like assh*les, while being comfortably installed in their chairs. Something like believing that drinking or bathing in water exposed to Vitas' voice will empower healing or that Vitas is somehow infallible but that his personal issues were down to a curse and demonic possession? I'm not making any of this up! I don't deny Vitas is a talented artist and musician, but after analyzing his performances objectively he is largely a fraud. He exhibits some great vocal abilities but created a mythos based on unrealistic expectations. Just about every Opera 2 performance since his commercial debut sounds the same, aside from the mic-cutting tricks he does.

His face is what gets me. I love him 🤣

Believe me everyone lip synced some performances even Dimash came out and said they told him to lip sync the song a question of honour The problem I have with Vitas is he did so many times even an audio recording engineer for one of his shows released a video of just Vitas voice after taking the playback out and he was terrible not to mention the 3 or 4 times he is moving the Mic around his mouth and the sound stays exactly the same even if you put it on a computer the wave length is the same and that's impossible when you do it too much people start losing their trust in you that's all I know back in his prime he was great a world class artist but he just got lazy

that may be but the arguments he made were so poor that Vitas stans have their own so-called rebuttals. "his microphone should be fading" -> "he uses a noise gate that mutes the mic feed below a certain volume" "there's a bad vocal which is his real voice" -> "he uses an octaver so he's still singing in tune just an octave lower to save his energy"/"it's just the cameraman singing along"

To try and get something singing wise out of the video beyond the negatives.(Which I totally understand the frustration on all sides, sadly when people feel imposed upon be that artistically, financially or just exposed in a vulnerable way they didn't wish to be, then the resulting reactions can be incredibly nasty and that is not something easily forgotten by any involved and also something that can spread and propagate among the support groups of the people involved in the initial nastiness). To get that very particular sound at the higher notes would that be a head voice or whistle sound? I know there are questions re technology etc. But ignoring all of that, that particular very thin sound it doesn't sound like whistle or head voice to me specifically. Is it just a very forward head voice or how is that sound made?

Vitas sings all of his high notes in falsetto. The "Vitas falsetto" is very well known in Russia, Vitas explained himself it was falsetto and uses it as his trademark. His highest note ib mix is "only" Bb4", but he went up til D6 (his overall highest note) in falsetto

I do not know what year this is but Vitas did a version that was fair, he heard Dimash and wanted to sue Dimash for the what he moves his arms and ow you cannot sue for the way a person moves their feet, the way he stands, I know there was a law suit for forgetting to get copyright permission to use the song, the last time Dimash sang this publicly was his 2018 Concert in London, So, Vitas practiced and has a better version of Opera 2, this could be it, he is 41 and cannot stand Dimash and has his fans blast the KNOW MV that Dimash did in Iceland, I saw the commented in the thread and they were criticizing the tip of Dimash’s nose, his face, etc. I think Vitas has a great and strong Falsetto, Whistle Register and his Soprano Register. There are videos of him singing in 2009 and he sounds like a Spinto Soprano, his voice is clear. He is 41 and he should know you cannot sue a singer for moving their arms up as most powerful singers do that, stand similar and move Thor feet the same way. I am not a fan as he now says he sings 8 or 9 Octaves. He has a fan base and I’d more than 15 years older than Dimash who chose not to sing only Opera but other genres of music. As a Reactor, you can appreciate his voice, I do, but all the Dears know Vitas is jealous and for no reason.

Hey there 😊 Vitas sings his high notes in falsetto, he doesn't have a whistle register and "soprano" is not a register but a female voice type. Vitas has a vocal range of a little less than 4 octaves. And he has never sung opera. Dimash did not sing Opera 2 in London in 2018. He only sang the song 3 times. First time in 2016 on a Kazakh late night show (they had requested him to sing it because they knew he can sing very high and they had been looking for someone to sing the song with altered lyrics in Kazakh), and also Singer (spring 2017 ) suggested him to sing it as they knew that he can and that the song is one of the very few popular songs in China with lyrics in one of Dimash's languages (Dimash also speaks perfectly Russian after all, not only Kazakh), As soon as Dimash heard that Vitas doesn't want him to sing his songs again (he sent a letter to him after seeing his performance on Singer), he decided to never sing the song again

@@JasminGardenia Vitas uses digital enhancements in many of his songs. Listen to the acapella of Nightingale or 7th Element and you can hear digital alterations here and there. His live performances where he like the studio vocal except live-proving mic cuts is is using a voice-activation playback system. He is capable of singing fairly well (see "Delight" 2011) but dodges high notes and has not definitively gone above A5 for these live instances.

Если вы имеете в виду дурачество с микрофоном с тошнотворными подергиваниями языка в Бельгии или куда он там ездил , то это не его сольный концерт а публика спецефичная полупяная и наркотическом кураже.Возможно вы про другие концерты тогда можно ссылку на видео мероприятия? Я недавно спецом посмотрела его последние выходы на сцену просто ради объективности .Так у него вид ,что его на каторгу привели, улыбается но интереса никакого к сцене к публике.Нет живости и харизмы .Нет того Витаса и в помине что лет 10 назад.Кстати не помог и старый верный соратник Витаса латекс, ставка была сделана на европейцев ,которые любят эксцентричность и эпатаж а это стихия Вити. Что за детские трюки переводить на меня .Все знают что витя фрик ,его концерты отменяются в России билеты не покупают . В Китае давно забыли его. Где он вообще? Один раз выступил в Бельгии перед пьяными геями такими же фриками как он сам . Еле влез в свой клоунский латексный костюм, над ним опять смеялись. @Googlebox, I have never seen Dears bash Vitas or Hua! Vitas already has a thriving career and he loves himself. I do think he feels threatened by some younger singers and you cannot copyright how you move your feet or thousands of singers who sing like Frank Sinatra and others would not be performing and I feel you dislike Dimash greatly as it is your prerogative. Dimash has a more developed lower Register and does not sing in the Whistle Register that much and Vitas has a higher Register than Dimash. I have never seen any Dear bash Hua except for you so I feel you have a problem. Hua is just as talented and never brags or boasts about his talents of which there are many, like The Ballroom Tango or Broadway dancing like a Gene Kelly, he plays his Boyce like an instrument and his 5 new songs are very deep, philosophical and about serious subjects like Depression. Hua is more of what was called a Performance Artist like I have seen in the 80’s. (Kate Bush, Peter Gabriel, Lori Anderson..,) Again, I am so sorry you dislike Dimash but he is only 25, not 29 or 41 like Vitas who might feel a threat by anyone younger and Dimash shares what he knows, I have never seen Vitas teaching younger people but maybe he does. I am a Dear and a Martian either way. I think I lean more towards Hua because he seems more real, like you or me but his performances are amazing, I see no reason to bash anyone. @Gogglebox You can’t even imagine what Vitas fans are doing. They create fan pages on social networks and make caricatures with insulting inscriptions about Dimash his family and country. They spread absolutely disgusting rumors about Dimash and his personal life. We know that Dimash has a crystal clear reputation, he is humble and not tarnished by dirty facts from the biography. Producer Vitas publicly called Dimash a thief in an interview with Russian media. And you are surprised at some too emotional dears. Did you know that Vitas fans wrote unpleasant words to Dimash’s father. Which of Dimash’s fans behaves this way? NONE. Now, what about the reaction of bloggers on KZread and of course they have the right to make reactions to any singers that are interesting to them, and no one can be offended by them. But for the sake of honesty, Vitas is simply a funny clown, more a mimic or paradist of head notes. His performances are very primitive zero charisma zero voice zero charm just narcissistic narcissist. There's nothing to even react to.

@Gogglebox So you think it's bad taste for a Vitas critic who still enjoys his music to point out his BLATANT perfomance failures (which I totally lost count of)? I only did this out of honesty not toxicity or bitterness, and completely irrelevant to Dimash who I am not a big fan of. But when Vitas fans try to justify it as "it's his voice still" or "it doesn't matter we still love him" they just give him the free pass when other performers sing live.

@Gogglebox Vitas has been heavily lipsyncing ever since his commercial debut, including employing audio-cutting trickery since at least 2002. He was in part manufactured by his producer and at one point locked horns but the two quickly reconciled. When fans call me jealous or deny the most damning instances of the mechanism failing they're just in denial. I don't agree with Aleksandr Novikov's actions in exposing the raw soundboard mic feed of Vitas and others but the results speak for themselves.

Hmm not a Vitas fan either to be honest, he has never sung a single song live, we don't even know, if he really is the singer behind these songs or just an actor hired as playback entertainer. Also his personality seems to be bad, the way he and his lawyers treat other artists.... and the other scandals... like for example the hit and run case... he ran into a woman on a bicycle with his car and then tried to escape the scene, but eye witnesses tried to block his way, so he got out of the car with a gun and attacked them... he insulted them and attacked them physically... also his wife got out of the car and threatened the eye witnesses that she would destroy them, if they tols the arriving police what happened... when the police arrived, Vitas attacked a police man, vulgarly insulted him, threatened to kill him and kicked him... he also never apologized to the cyclist he injured as far as I know... and he even sued the police men for putting handcuffs on him... Vitas is not only not a live singer, he also seems to have a bad, immoral and arrogant personality

All this is true. The clown Vitas was at the police station several times because of complaints from his neighbors for disturbing his country house, he shot at birds with a gun. He is not only a fake singer but also a criminal robber. All information about his scandals with the police is freely available in Russian-language news media. His sick fans still continue to insult Dimash, create fan pages on Russian social networks where they make caricatures of Dimash discussing his family and writing claims to his father. They behave like a gang of immoral creatures. Vitas silently watches all this ugliness. In Russian-speaking KZread for almost For 3 years there has been a clash of cranks of Vitas fans and dear Dimash, and it seems that this will not end yet. Dimash many times urged his fans not to quarrel with fans of other singers, but dear ones cannot remain silent when they hear everything that I wrote about. I admire the quiet and reasonable attitude to this whole fucking story of Dimash. He and his entourage did not mention Vitas or his loonies of fans more than once and did not respond to provocations. This is another reason why Dimash is my idol.

@Caleb You really are a naive person it’s easy to deceive you. At the time of recording songs in the studio, they turn off the sound in certain places, then the fake singer repeats this on stage, removes the microphone in the same places. This is a very old trick. Dimash also uses it sometimes, but he doesn’t just take the mic aside . It’s more difficult. We hear the divine resonance from the microphone as an echo, and we can see how his veins are strained on the throat and the muscles of the face, too. This is undeniable evidence. Now I will ask you a question - why does Vitas always stand sideways to the audience but not face? It seems the answer is obvious so that people and the camera do not record his relaxed Adam's apple, which means he does not sing.

@Caleb You yourself came up with this in your head. With autotune, both you and I will be the vocal wonders of nature. He's just a vocal balancer. He did not study music and did not engage in vocal training. He is an amateur with an excellent producer monster who launched this nonsense into the heads of impressionable people. You heard that in the middle of 2000 his producer said that Vitas has gills and he was half fish already then people began to understand that it's just 2 moron

... still love Dimash's version much better lol... but he is good!

Dimash can not sing that will as vitas. Vitas has a great voice and dimash dose not have what vitas have a good voice

Some Vitas "V-fans" are downright superstitious and toxic. They follow Vitas religiously not unlike the Opera #1 music video and think water exposed to Vitas' voice will spiritually empower them. Some even justify his personal struggles (like the car accident) as due to a curse a psychic had cast on him or demonic possession. They also expect that Dimash fans and Vitas critics are paid by Dimash to say those comments. I'm no Dimash fan and still enjoy Vitas' studio music, but have been perceived as a "Vitas hater" because my objective analysis about him lipsyncing. I look every day in the mail for that paycheck still!

So nice to hear Vitas' original, but it is far short of what Dimash did. Nice though.

I don't think it's bad but I think Dimash is so much better. But thanks to Vitas, Dimash has a topper.

@@MasterofVoice Vitas's producer was incredibly rude and straight vile towards Dimash while they were in the process of "forbidding" Dimash to sing this song ever again and dears do not take that lightly. I guess they did not imagine how big Dimash was about to get after China, or maybe they did and decided to get some free PR out of the situation. The point is, dears and Vitas don't mix, and you doing this reaction is kind of a low blow. I don't know, maybe you too are trying to get something out of the potential conflict. Anyway, I'm done discussing this. Vitas is not worth another minute of my time.

@@genevievebonneau09 I had no idea about any conflict. Maybe you forget I just learned of Dimash less than three months ago. I just read this article that mentions Vitas suing the show. @@barrichase I agree. This very video has a copyright claim on it already. I have disputed it. But, that happens on KZread with a lot of videos, including some of my reactions to Dimash and many others.

Vitas is pompous and obtuse. Dimash sings and performs Opera 2 better. More artist need to be like Dolly Parton. She shares her songs and feels blessed if it is a success.
