Thank you for keeping The Dells music alive, I'm LaTanya Junior, daughter of Marvin Junior, lead singer of The Dells. Dad and Johnny Funches wrote Oh What a Night, which changed doowoo music forever helping transforming music into R&B, this song and few others award them induction into the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame I'm pleased you enjoyed The Dells music, 55+ years together with the original members! Peace & Love

Arent you two the nicest people. These oldies songs are classics and showcase the incredible talent that existed back in the good old days. And ain't the dancing a blast? These guys had it all --- the voices, the harmonies, the instruments, and the moves.

This is the group that they were depicting in the movie called "The Five Heartbeats" The Dells were one of the oldest r&b groups going, because they came out back in the 50's as a doo wop group. I wish you would react to the smoothest song of all-times with "What's Come Over Me" by Blue Magic.

The original record was pure doowop without the "soul" at the end and it was great to play it from a jukebox and closely dance with your girlfriend of the week. Doowop music was the only music you could slow dance to or "make out" with. My favorite to make out with was "Crazy for You" by The Heartbeats.

Please recognize the difference. Good, trained tenors would usually have a Tenors high C5, but the majority of Tenors range will top out around Bb4-B4. Falsetto is just an untrained portion of the voice. It's very airy, light and will not usually be in unison with the rest of a trained voice. We must give those high tenors their due.
