Its very different to Los Llanos, its very rustic, no bar or pool but for that you get space and a view ..its nice to vary the sites a month here then a month at another site. This is a very quiet site and believe it or not we like that at times....full review to follow xx

Another good vlog tyvm, I have seen that Village you pointed out on ‘A Place in the Sun’ ☀️ it looks nice and peaceful there. The thing is being Campers and Caravanners , we have weighed up the overall Costs and Benefits, and to be honest it is cheaper for us to go to Malta 🇲🇹 in a Hotel 🏨. Our room overlooks the Sea 🌊 and ancient Monument, there is no disruption, I agree with what you say re Benidorm. Although there is Camerarderie in the Caravan Community, very often Campers and Caravanners choose to holiday our way , is due to not choosing a Hedonistic lifestyle. We do go to Spain Benelmadena for two weeks in October and January , however , the beds 🛌 are not as good as they are in Malta 🇲🇹. Hence, only one of the reasons we choose Malta before Spain 🇪🇸.

This looks so much nicer than the high rise delights of Benidorm......Beautiful.......thanks for sharing. Try Avon Skin So Soft to combat mosquitos. Always plenty of snow here in Derbyshire!

Hi Janet - we are here for a month then up to Mollina to see friends and we are staying in another site there. Not one I would have stayed at due to the price with acis card is 16 euros a night, but im assured its very nice and its only one near to our friends place....As you know this would be way over our budget per night so ill be very interested to see what we get for the additional cost xx

Just read through your comments re the battery and solar panel.A 100w solar panel with one 85Ah battery was never going to be enough (especially running 12v straighteners which use a lot of power). When your battery discharged it will have damaged it which is why it is now fubar! I had 2 x 100Ah batteries and a 230w solar panel on our motorhome. Batteries packed in when we hit Spain in November and due to cost replaced with a single 120Ah AGM battery (€273). I would still only get 10-12 days off electric before needing to go for a drive or connect to electric even right down in south of Spain on Costa del Sol. It only takes one cloudy day to mess up recharging. Having a larger 20A controller does not provide any more power. This size controller would allow you to have 480 watts of solar panels on the roof working at 100% (480w / 24 volts from your solar panel = 20 amps) The controller converts the 24v from the solar panels to 12v to recharge the batteries. Solar panels on the roof will never go to 100% efficiency as they are not directly facing the sun. My solar panel should generate about 9.5 amps (230w / 24v) but the most I have ever generated is about 7 amps. On a brighter note, take a couple of days to explore Cabo de Gata just south of you. You have to drive through all the plastic greenhouses, but the national park of Cabo de Gata is beautiful from Las Negras, through Isleta del Morro and around to San José. Beautiful scenery and beaches.

Meant to add, in Spanish the adjective comes after the noun - so it is not "grande cerveza" - use "cerveza grande" instead. We say large beer - they say beer large!

Looks fantastic. My new caravan that I'm collecting next week has a 100w solar panel on the roof. I've got the suitcase folding panels with 150w which I've used with my old caravan. Do you think it's worth keeping them Mark and using both in tandem? 350w in total should be good off grid? Actually that's a good point can I use them at the same time with two controllers do you know? Loving the tans by the way and you both look so relaxed. Nice to see you living life to the full.

Yes marks says the more solar power you have the better... He can't see why controllers would cause a problem... Doing aVlog hopefully later on how we are doing on solar power... If we can drag ourselves away from sunbathing xx

Yes that’s what I said to my wife “ switch of the heating we don’t need it” I would pop out next week and pitch up right next to you and have a good old moan ! over a beer but its difficult trying to get all 10 kids of school at the same time and the parrots malting and the dogs are suffering from morning “wind “ however if the invite still stands ? Mark i know this could be a daft question but i beleive they dont have postcodes in france and spain what is the best way to navigate using a sat nav do you use town names if so does it work as good as using post codes , many thanks for your brill vids

Not many stalls on the market. Must have been the strong wind. where you at Bar Cazadores ? we usually go there for a tubo and tapa. went into the Pensionistas bar and had a coffee and cake for 1.50 euros.

How many miles south of Denia did you go? Mark, I don;t think leisure batteries are capable of running fridges, and certainly not heating. They are fine for lights, charging devices, and TV's, but anything more than that is too much for them. The problem with leisure batteries is that when they discharge below about 30% they get damaged permanently in many cases. They're very different to car batteries which deliver a lot of power in a short few seconds. Leisure batteries delver low wattage for long periods. Anyways, loving your videos as always. It's freezing here on the south coast of Ireland.

Hi Mark here fridge and heating run on gas,needs 12v to operate control panels for fridge and heating. so very little 12 v for these too.

Fridge should run on gas alone,now you've got Spanish gas bottle it would be better to use that if you can guys,with solar much better to run 2 batteries in parallel,easy to link up if you have room and if you can find a caravan shop nearby a leisure battery shouldn't be much more than 100euros and KZread will show you how to hook them up,Marc.I passed that place last year when staying in Mazzoron on friends land,looks very nice,enjoy yourselves plenty of good beaches down there

Oh I see what you mean now Judy,if it's a Dometic fridge or similar there's a control panel connected to the battery power? but this only takes a little bit of battery power to run,if you switch this to the gas symbol it will run the fridge cooling on gas and only use a little amount of battery power to run the controls,I run mine in the van on gas this way even when driving and it's quite economical,and having a refillable gas tank it's easy and cheap to fill up a petrol stations.I also have solar on the roof but have 2 leisure batteries which give me plenty of storage for wild camping and stops without hookup.Also in Spain the winter sun has less uv light so not as powerful when charging solar,although you can still get a good tan!Just to cheer you both up in freezing here in Devon tonight and forcast cold for tomorrow

Hi Paul....Mark - Unfortunatly leisure batteries here in Spain are very expensive. Understand connecting in parallel but unfortunatly i have no space for 2nd battery in the Swift and also next to water tank. Fridge is a thetford. Doing ok now with solar just readjusting how we use the energy....Jude is not happy though with her 12v hair straightners!

Gypsy Souls Judy Mark and Summer Know what you mean about adjusting your energy needs,I use 3 times the amount of water when my wife travels with me,just doubled the size of my tank in the hope that I can get a shower as well in the mornings! Sites seem to make their money on hookup and wifi prices,on the bright side you could be a Woodlands still Devon never got over 5deg today👍

Our favorite destination not in the caravan is Tenerife. In the caravan so far is here in Mojacar but we havnt really got a many destinations under our belt in the caravan yet. At the end of this season we are planning to do Portugal and work down the bottom end of Spain for our tour next winter but very much in the planning stages yet xx
