Your fine video brings back memories of the tramp I did 30 years back to Boulder Lake and Adelaide Tarn . I've since uploaded a "Kahurangi " song to youtube which you may wish to hear . Cheers

Did exactly this route 5 years ago, but in the opposite direction (skipping Fenella and continuing along the ridge). It's all about route finding - which in this case means make it up as you go along! Very exposed in places - quite scary (especially as we were descending those vertical scrambles you were going up). Wild country - a bit like the rest of everything else west odf the Main Divide.

That's a great effort! Loved the video.

awesome vid, so the high route still doesn't get close to the ridge proper, I thought it would be closer than that. Whats the 3D stuff from is that an app you use for navigating? I live just down the road from the start of this track, really want to do it one day! thanks

Cheers, yep the high route is not on the ridge. I use an app call relive for the 3D stuff to show the route. It is magic country in there
