They are not over achivers they were just underestimated, I can not understand why most people predi ted spain will only go to quarter finals when spain went in semi final in last euros, won nations league, was defeating tough teams. Last Euro 2021 was a lot of luck, because they played so lifeless and it was shown in their WC 2022 exit. But this was mainly Enrique's Fault. Now under De la Fuente, their possesion play is actually progressive and dangerous. And they also have alternatives now.

@@Polenbrot1999 thats not trash look at their over all win loss ratio, the only time they played bad was from 2014 to 18, after that they ve been fairly good, in 2018 their head coach was sacked while they were on longest winning streak, julien lopitegui if u remember. Last 2 euros and nations league they have at least reached to semis. Check their win loss ration in last 4 years. People dont realise how good spain is. I wish spain win and shut some mouths

I've long considered Spain to have the most exceptionally talented, clearly underachieving national teams in Europe. This may be their breakthrough year. Given what I've seen in Spain's earlier dominant play in this tournament, I'll be sorely disappointed if they revert back to earlier form & lose to a less talented English team.

My assessment has come simply from watching the Spanish team in action -- and their play "as a team" against solid competition. Compared with the other UEFA games I've seen in this tournament the Spanish side seems to play as a unit more seamlessly & cohesively than any other team. And, because I believe that they have played tougher competition in this tournament, I'll be surprised If England beats them in the final. However, that's why we play the games!!

Spain, it's easy. As a coach, Southgatethe is the luckiest man in history. His game is non-existent, positional and defensive. It has the advantage that the competition in Europe and the world is never worse, there are no dominant teams like there used to be, for example Brazil or Spain. His team and the players he has at his disposal are quite good and of high quality. With these players I would have better results, I would certainly win something. What is not at all clear to me is why he doesn't call Tomori to the national team to play defense for him, that's where he is thin. Are they in a fight?

It feels inevitable that England are gonna win this with absolutely horrible football and bags of luck

Advantage England I think… 1. Spain hold the heavy expectations of the favorite tag. 2. If Spain score first, England have the experience to come back as they did in last 3 games. 3. England have a great subs bench than can change the game towards the end. 4. If it is a draw and goes to penalties, they have a roster of great penalty takers for their own clubs.

Spain have trailed for what, 12 minutes all tournament? Even in Englands best performance against the Dutch they still got incredibly lucky and favoured to win that. Have a hard to seeing them beat Spain but the luck is on their side so you never know

What momentum? They are the slowest playing team of the tournament, its like they dont even want to be there

Anyone who thinks this is going to be easy for Spain could be in for a big shock. I'm not sure how anyone can say player for player Spain have more talent than England. I think quite the reverse. But they do have better chemistry. England play better against better teams, they have serious strength in depth from the bench and will be favourites big time should it go to penalties. I find this so hard to call but if pushed I'd go for a narrow Spain win but I'm expecting a great final with quite a few goals.
