I'm the same way. A steelbook with the original artwork is mostly a guaranteed buy fro me.

OH wow! I have fond memories of Batman forever, I was such a big nerd for it as a kid and had so many books I put together of everything batman forever from pogs to news paper clippings to cereal box covers , movie tickets, soundtrack fold outs.. I might have to get that steelbook!

16:00 nice,, sick! I love that! I saw Maverick (and 1917) in 4DX cinema with the moving chairs, the fog, the lights, the AVX sound that blew me right away. I only did it twice for those movies and likely wont again but decent expirence if one has never saw a movie this way.

I have about 35 4K steelbooks. My favorite artwork of the ones I own is for Starship Troopers. The movie looks incredible in Dolby Vision too. The scratches and dents are just part of the experience, but I like them for the unique artwork and they hold the discs firmly in place. When I order normal cases, often times the disc is rattling around inside.

All 4 of the Laika Steelbooks are beautiful, but Kubo and the Two Strings would be my favourite of the bunch. Apart from those, out of the almost 80 Steelbooks I own, my top picks would be the ones for Army of Darkness (Scream Factory), Bloodsport (Altitude/Capelight), Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (Arrow), RoboCop (Arrow), Sleepy Hollow (Paramount), Spider-Man: No way Home (Sony), and The Transformers: The Movie (Shout Factory). I also managed to import a handful of Best Buy exclusive Steelbooks from eBay at scalper prices a couple of months ago, my fave of which is the one for Dredd (Lionsgate). The artwork on that one is amazing.

I feel the same about that great Fright Night steel. The original art is just so wonderful. Jealous of Russ’ The Shining steel. Can’t believe I missed out on that one. And (racially charged?) Better Off Dead! I need to get that and One Crazy Summer in my collection. So many good memories of those as VHS rentals when I was a little kid. The chorus of that Better Off Dead song (don’t know who it was by) is burned into my brain.

I have quite a few Steelbooks. Best Buy blew out several Disney 4ks a few years ago for $7.99. Not the silver shitbox. I'd recommend the, I think, Zavvi The Thing Blu-ray Steelbook

We will see what we can do for future videos. I think Russ keeps all of his different labels/steels together on his shelf, but I go A-Z so all my steels aren't sitting together.

I knew there was some hardcore steelbook collectors out there somewhere who were going to chime in. I was waiting! I had no idea how dinged up my steelbooks were till we made this video, pretty depressing...

I have Annihilation Steelbook and it's beautiful. Go seek it out.

I'm not a Steelbook guy. They're usually wildly overpriced and you're lucky if they survive shipping without dings and dents. Many of them have boring artwork. All around not my cup of tea. I'll only get them if i can get them cheap or if they're the only way to not miss out on special features like with Clockwork Orange, The Exorcist, Blade Runner 2049 or the Sony Dolby Vision re-releases.

Matt, Russ. Another great video. Where are all your MCU Steelbooks?? I have all 23 of Phase 1-3 Marvel 4K Steelbooks.

Clerks 3 being good is entirely contingent on how much you love the original... At 12-13 years-old, I watched Clerks as much as you did Requiem, so my love is deep which allows me to forgive things I'd probably be more critical on in other movies. As for Clockwork, at least once... It is one of those movies that you will talk about and remember forever, regardless of whether you loved or hated it. It's one of those that GUARANTEES a reaction from the viewer.

4K, but it's the exact same steelbook as the blu that was released a year previously. Not even an "Ultra HD" on the spine or anything. I actually regret not going with the standard, my rationale was that the steel was closer to the original artwork, but it's honestly ugly. If it were an ice cream flavor, it'd be pralines and dick.

I like your shelves Matt are those still being made anymore?

Dang. I really like how it prevents you from putting too much on one shelf. Plus if you want to show off a movie by facing it foward it almost acts like a frame and presents the artwork even better. Very cool I still use the Ikea Jerker desk (you can see it featured in the movie Adaptation LOL). Quality stuff back in the day

Yeah it sucks they're gone, but I still have a ton of room. I still have a lot of my old DVDs on there, a lot of titles facing forward, so still a lot of room to utilize as I continue to collect. Russ can also attest, we both have entire closets filled with titles we upgraded long ago that don't live on the shelf, but still hold a place in our hearts.

hmmm Russ you said that "racially charged BTTF" at the beginning and I was like.. what? then at 5:20, you said same thing for DJango, which is racially charged but it's DJANGO.. Unless that was a joke or mis-spoken over dub?

We rarely get anything so i did love the serving for the gays with ultimate movie dad Craig T Nelson's butt on 4k slip Poltergeist 👻 fuck the haters 😂🎉 🍑 his entire wardrobe is the (actual) lasting reason to watch the movie. PUT ME IN, COACH 🏈

they are ending steel books next year and other news target and walmart ending dvds and no online and b&n will try and sell dvds still they maybe going away too how ever the good news is that amazion and other dvd seller companys are not going any where we can still buy from them ......but it is risky buying from ebay if something is wrong with the dvds they at sometimes do not want to replace them there buy at your own risk !!! happy dvd hunting online
