Our Cybertruck and Airstream Meet
Our Cybertruck is finally here! It was our original intension to tow our Airstream with the Cybertruck, but it took a little longer than expected. But this weekend, we drove to Ocala to unite them for the first time. We decided to make this initial trip short and sweet to test the towing. Of course we chose the World Equestrian Center as our destination, as it is truly our favorite place to go. It also co-aligned with the opening of their new dog friendly hotel, The Riding Academy Hotel, in case this union fell apart. Fortunately it worked out amazingly. The Cybertruck towed our 25' Airstream so much easier than our GMC Sierra Denali - which we also love. But the Cybertruck stole the show. It was smooth, quiet, quick and comfortable. As soon as we plugged in and put it in tow mode, it self leveled and made the drive effortless. The Steer by wire also was incredible. We were able to do a u turn without swinging wide and it made backing in to our slip so easy. So glad, it is finally here.

Great Question! The Airstream came with a back camera to see behind the airstream. The cybertruck in addition to the two side mirrors has side cameras that allow you to expand your view and see all around you. It made changing lanes so easy.
I think I saw this rig, or another just like it, on I-27 in the Texas Panhandle.

the front looks ok. the back looks less desirable. also, it’s like the cybert4uck comes without a paint job. you have to get it wrap, making it more expensive.
Two questions: what range on a full charge towing and you really can use a load equalizing hitch with a cybertruck?

Towing seems to half the mileage of a full charge so about 150 miles. We had an equalizer hitch on the airstream with our GMC so on our first trip we used it with our CT and there was no sway. It will be interesting to see if we need the equalizer as it was so much easier to pull the airstream with the CT than the GMC. The steer by wire is also a game changer.
Looks great , flying cloud 25ft? Whats the range when pulling ? Think it could handle west coast mountains -

Thank you! It is a 25ft Globetrotter. The range is about double the miles to get someplace. I'm sure the mountains would make it worse at least going up - Florida is pretty flat! It will be interesting to find out on future travels how it does.
The Cybertruck is more of a status symbol. It don’t quite make sense but it’ll get attention and it’s expensive.
Did you wrap your CT with clear ppf? It looks glossy...

Yes its wrapped with clear PPF - glossy. It was also ceramic coated after that, which makes it really easy to clean.

What do you do for a living?
Camping 50 miles from home... exciting 🤪 my fishing hole is 122 miles from anything. Truck is not there yet but I too, pull an airstream. Greatest tow trailers ever built, Elon could learn from their construction, if it wasn't for the "claim" of progress. be well
