That dust is dangerous Emily! Don't try to make dust when you pour. Btw, masks WILL stop that size dust particle or pour & cover until it settles. Perlite is exploded sand so silicosis is possible. Safety first!!!

“Go home Omnomlet you’re drunk” just made me almost pass out from laughing too much but only because it reminds me of when me and my friends are together and our parents would say “are you girls drunk?”

Omnomlette was like: "aw man! you stole my breakfast. I was gonna eat those >:( " lol!!

When Ed asked if they even needed the incubator built, I was instantly like, "Oh no you don't! You've been promising us it these last few weeks, so you can't wiggle yourself out of not making it now!" Loved that she had so many and that none were eaten (this year)!

We should call the old incubator the Tardis. I half imagine them building the incubator but because there are so many videos to edit the video goes on hold for a bit and they keep filming clutches going into the old one...

Yep

The longer you put off making the new incubator, the more likely it is you get caught off guard with no room for a new clutch. Please think of the babies, and build their egg oven.

Michel the editor really came through on the colour changing sharpie. What a legend.

Ed and Emily are so different but they fit together so well and their love consist of geeking out together on a regular basis and I love them both so much.

@@thebestchieffrog they both were raised differently and have different ways of doing thing but they are similar in how flexible they are. another big difference is how Ed doesn't really like being in front of the camera and Emily does. they have a lot of the same interest though.

Interestingly it's easier to copy a drawing upside-down. I participated in an experiment proving it during an art class. When you flip it upside down your brain let's you copy each line and angle more accurately. It's like your brain jumps ahead when it's right side up trying to create the big picture all at once and the details get missed.

Love how she wasn't worried about that rolled egg at all because theyre so new. Checking up on omnomlet every hour because of get cannibalistic behavior 😂😂

I just wanted to share that when I was out riding last week looking for our missing cow, my horse nearly stepped on a baby bull snake. Thankfully it wasn't injured and just went on its way. We also found our cow. It was a good day!

Maybe the glued/not glued eggs thing is a different way to try and keep as many alive as possible. If they're glued together, they might seem larger and therefore be less likely to be eaten, and for the unglued ones if a predator does find one, there's a chance it might not find the others. I'm no snake expert, but that's what I think. Also, love your videos, keep up the good work :)

Oooo thats a nice theory. From what I know, which is similar to your theory, the glue is used to keep the clutch from rolling around and separating so there is a better chance that the eggs won't get picked off by predators one by one. I also think it is to help transfer heat between the eggs in order to help with incubation in the wild. I'm not an expert but this is what I've been taught do don't come after me if I'm wrong😂😅

They’re glued together to retain heat and stay in a single position so the embryos don’t drown. Has nothing to do with size.

I love how you were both freaking out about the lights before it was like,,, oh yeah, this one doesn't turn off! 😅😂

@@martepaulsen9174 Those kinda feel like paper-mashe, and paper-mashe kinda feels like when you had a smooth tissue wet and after dried completely so that 2-3 layers stick together. Crinklier and sturdier than regular paper tissue but a low more fragile than any sort of cardboard.

Hi I love you video so much. For a clutch of eggs to label them you could try to guess what genetics the baby have e.g ( for conda you could put c, for super conda you could put sc etc…..) I think it would be really cool to see if you were correct once the hatch.🐍🥚

I've been waiting on the darn Pepsi incubator since they mentioned it in the building renovations videos. Not that I don't appreciate the old chick incubator, but the suspense!

Tyler Nolan has mentioned you guys in at least one of his most recent videos because he has gotten into raising hognose snake recently and he mentioned that Emily is the one who came up with the idea of condas instead of anaconda hognoses

about the egg sticking: all snake eggs will stick together if they are placed together when they dried. pythons gather their eggs to protect against predators. hognoses don't really have that problem in their environment so they don't gather them together while they're wet and therefore they don't stick!
