I am a retired nurse and my husband is/was a certified carpenter and a certified automotive technician/mechanic. He is a wonderful hard working man who has saved us tons of money with his skills. It is great to have someone who can and will do helpful things around the home.

Oh honey save your cantaloupe seeds. Just put the them in a jar with some water over night to take the slime off. Then pour thru a colander. Pick out the seeds and place on a paper plate or napkin to dry put. Once dry put then in an envelope to save for the next year to plant. I save all my veggie seeds

Yall are coming right along in your big house. We bought this 1953 house at a great deal back in 1992. There was plaster walls, wallpaper board panels, and wood paneling . We have remodeled this house over the years. Just need the wood floors refinished, but the thought of moving everything out for the floors over the years led us with the thought of” they have character “. Our walls are all drywalled now and look cohesive from one room to the next. Glad we decided to do all drywall . - watching from Lake wales, Florida

Looks so good, sadly I dont fry anything cause of bp and my weight, it is a treat to get fried food out. The fruit looks good. I always bake my meat or pan fry in avodaco/olive oil, do not use seed oil if I can get by w/o it. Love your remodeling.

Wonderful looking meal and you’ve very lucky to have a hardworking man that’s willing to do things around the house and also helps cook..I can’t imagine having a husband who doesn’t complain when something needs done around the house and I would kill for help in the kitchen..hubby likes to eat my home cooking if only I could get him to do cleanup when I cook for us and his mom and brother…it’s not happened in 44 years and I’m sure won’t start anytime soon 🙄

We live on 5 acres and have a well with low pressure also. It is a common thing. We have installed and good quality pressure tank in our well house. And we can control our pressure easily. It is a very simple process. Oh yes I have a washer and dryer and a dishwasher. Putting in a pressure tank was the very first thing we did.

Another idea if you haven't torn down that ceiling ,park the truck as close to that window as possible and toss them in the truck to save you from having to pick them up after you're done tossing them out.. Chicken and waffles sound delightful! Great holiday breakfast/brunch! Your home is coming along beautifully and I’ve got a coverlet set sitting in my cart on Amazon! We definitely need something lighter on the bed in this heat, and the dog too…🙄

Thought this might be of interest for you: did you know you can take your strawberry scraps and make strawberry vinegar? You can make a delicious strawberry vinaigrette. I've done it, super simple. 🍓🍓

I was gonna tell you and I got I'm gonna tell the whole world. My mom and dad passed away when I was 22. They were sick. My mom was the best cook like you. She made birthday cakes and wedding cakes and all her sisters could cook very good. I love watching you make good food. It takes me back now. You sure make me happy when you post a video. Y’all inspire me. Looking forward to seeing how the finished bedroom will look. Even though your kitchen needs renovations I love how it’s big and bright and has that homie feeling.

I have learned to use a large pot/dutch oven to hold the pancakes or waffles as they are finished. Just be sure not to put the lid on tight or they will "steam".

That breakfast/brunch looked fabulous 🤩 Luckily my husband was frying some link breakfast sausages. I had mine in a croissant. 😊 Excited to see Reno again!! Good you got rain. There were very good fireworks I could see from my kitchen window🎉🎉❤. We are not far from downtown.

Looking forward to watching it all getting done! It has been nice doing different sections to keep it interesting. The deep fryer will come in handy for your family. Tools in the kitchen are wonderful. I have been tested for nutrition and how my body works and fat and sugar has to be limited, so unfortunately deep frying is out and vegetables and fruit are my main diet and that's just fine. I love watching you and Tim, your homestead is developing rapidly and I am excited for you!
