In today's video, I'll be doing a much needed brake service on our '96 K1500! While we obviously have more than $500 into this truck so far, it's amazing how great of a value it has been for us for what money we do have in it. It's come together nicely! My wife and I drive this thing on the regular and plan on taking it on a road trip so in addition to the brakes, I'll be taking care of some additional tasks as well, along with upgrading the truck's radio to a more modern setup. *I'm surprised I've never seen a Chevrolet CK in that good condition it looks brand spanking new I heard those trucks are really reliable and the parts are everywhere the Suburban of that generation is also really reliable keep up the good work!*

Great job on the truck Kyle, I was curious though do you think you’ll ever put a different set of wheels on it like from the 99 to 2006 body style? And maybe convert the rear drum brakes to disc’s and have four wheel disc brakes? That would be an awesome upgrade to the truck

Crazy how these trucks had single piston brakes for the weight and what you can haul
I have a 91 K1500 stepaide I got for $450 few years ago I still have it trying to get rid of it
I guess I can understand why you replaced the starter. Do you plan on trying to reuse it in one of your other projects? My hearing says it sounds just fine.

aaaahhh "500..." , ohje if i remember about all U.S. storys i could cry cheap car-shopping , expensive transfair to belgium/NL habours or german-swimcircus was ~4000DM a container at a cargo ship plus few blue-notes for zoll (border tax /controll) and 4500DM car can roll lucky if you born in USA with 4.xx liter petrol (u.s. gallone) for peanuts 500DM a very old Ford-Fiesta was with a long to-do list in 80's/90's what consumers can buy
