Guimaras mangoes are the best one worldwide since then, but for now a lot of provinces have very good mangoes too.

Koda was unimpressed by the Guimaras mangoes, because he has been eating delicious tropical fruits in the Philippines basically all his life 😄 But he'll miss it when he grows up! I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back to the Philippines in his 20s, on the hunt for that flavor

I agree Lucy! I hate going to the malls here in the U.S. (California) basically they’re outdated and most have already shut down. However I ❤ going to Philippine malls. They constantly renovate or expand the older malls or just build brand new ones. Interesting fact ToysRUs has closed business here in California, yet it’s found in Philippine malls!

Hi! Filipino here living in the Uk🙋🏻‍♀️ I guess to answer your question as to why you can’t help but walk in the shopping mall for hours is perhaps it’s a place where you can cool down and have all the things that you want and need in one place. For instance, most malls are built and laid out in a way that you can’t leave without spending your money. Say for example, you come in the mall cause you need to buy some stuff at the department store. After walking round and buying the stuff you need, you go out feeling hungry and boom, you’re greeted with loads of food shops and stalls to choose from. Then you go out the restaurant and there would be a play area for kids and so on. It’s a viscous cycle. It’s a finely made trap really especially for most Filipino households don’t have AC. The mall culture of the Philippines is one of the things I missed when I first moved to the UK. If you guys like to go out for a walk in the park, we like to go to shopping malls 😅

I'm a Cebuano, lived in Negros for 12 years so travel to Guimaras was frequent. I too can't decide which mangoes taste better, Cebu's or Guimaras.

Zambales mango (north of metro manila) is also immaculately sweet, rivaling guimaras mango :)
