The problem is women in the modern world don't want that kind of man. Women of the modern world wants to be the dominant one and be in control of everything. If a man tries to care for her in every way and is willing to clean cook and do dishes and such and support her she looks at that like it's offensive. Basically like she's not capable of doing it herself. Women have changed so much. I actually gave up on dating because of it. I never thought I would see the day where a woman didn't appreciate a man who is loyal caring loving complementive doesn't mind cooking cleaning and just whatever for her.

You two guys remind me of my parents who were as much in love with each other throughout their lives as they were when they first met. My father would say my mother was the most beautiful woman in the world, almost every day. You have that same aura of love kindness and fun they had. My sister and I were so lucky. Never a raised voice or argument throughout their lives. They lived Christian values without judgement of others.

I’m a frugal shopper, but on special occasions I get my husband & son a Black Diamond steak(I’m not a big red meat eater). So, I got 2 of those, made 30 min yeast rolls that melt in your mouth baked in my cast iron skillet, baked potatoes with bacon & cheese melted on it, apple pie using my canned pie filling. I made the crust ahead of time & froze it to save time. They loved it!

Ohmygosh I have been trying chocolate pies/tarts ever since I read The Help and I haven’t found an excellent one yet. I’m SO EXCITED to try your version of the 1800s chocolate tart!!! It looks exactly right!

You two are adorable. I love this meal and how you always decorate to suit the day.

Love all your content ideas. I live completely off grid in a 900 sq. Foot farm house. Collect rain water from the metal roof. Heat with wood burning stove. Use candles & oil lamps. I have a old treddle sewing machine that I use. I have animals, garden & fruit trees. I enjoy you videos.

Well, y'all got me with the charity donation singing 🤣 plus I just watched last week's Chew & Chat and I'd love to see the thrifting updates!

For Valentine's day I made my husband heart shaped french toast and heart shaped eggs for breakfast. Then we had some beef patties, roasted sweet potatoes and fried cabbage. With homemade pretzels for dessert. 🥰

I “loled” at the pause after the arms of the angel and then…just call! 😂

I am so in love with your videos! I just found the channel about two weeks ago and I have been binge watching ever since!! I find that I feel so relaxed while watching and I have to eat something that is similar to whatever you guys are eating because it looks so good I feel like I’m starving! I have always loved history and used to get so much work done around my home when I basically pretended to be working on a homestead in the prairie days.

Shrimp and bay scallop fettuccine Alfredo linguine. That’s a perfect Valentines Day celebratory dinner. Yummy!

I make a lot of homemade candy & dip a lot of things for Christmas. You used baking chocolate(no sugar) I use milk, dark & white chocolate. You add a spoonful of coconut oil to regular chocolate, that makes it smooth & have a shine to it. The easiest way to melt chocolate, keep from burning it & able to take your time doing big batches is using a crockpot on low! I have 3 crockpots going at one time from large to medium to the mini I use for dipping.

Valentine's dinner we had venison BBQ that my son shot this year, double baked potatoes, spicy pickled beets and asparagus, plus a kind of cream cake combination with strawberry sauce. I do hope you write A COOKBOOK Justine it would be a keeper.

I am dyin laughing! The Arms of the Angel infomercial was unexpectedly hilarious with the cat!!! You guys are so dang cute. You’re doing the thing. I’ve always wished to live this lifestyle & hoping to at least create a homestead. History is so fascinating & addictive. There’s so much treasure to find whether it’s stories, food, clothing, it’s simply amazing.

Anything someone else makes for me is a great Valentine’s dinner. Unfortunately my Valentine doesn’t cook and her idea of washing the dishes is to lick them clean 🐶 🥰💕❤️ I love her just the same. I must say she thinks a little warmed green beans on her kibble is gourmet cooking and she appreciate me more than my ex ever did.

Justine, 20+ years ago an old timer came into the liquor store where I worked and I had been sick for a few weeks, this is what he told me to do: take a tsp of black pepper and put it into a shot of Rye whiskey (has to be Rye whiskey) sit on side of your bed take the shot with pepper in it then cover up with 2 or more blankets, you will sweat the sickness out as you sleep. It's disgusting but it works.

My husband and I went to a shelter house at our county park and shared the fabulous carrot cake I made for Valentines Day.

We have done cheese fondue with bread, smoked sausage, and roasted potatoes. We have done chocolate fondue with strawberries, bananas, marshmallow, pound cake and brownies. All cut in small pieces

My husband and I went to Peru and stayed at the Best Western on the same street as the National Chocolate Museum in Cuzco. We went several times for chocolate fondue: strawberries, kiwi, banana, mango, grapes, pineapple, and papaya. It was amazing! The kiwi and papaya were my favorites. I love chocolate covered strawberries, so I knew I'd like the chocolate fondue. They sold the chocolate husks for chocolate tea, which is also very good. I prefer regular sugar to honey, though. I LOVE your new crocks! Ron seems to have good taste in women and gifts. 😀 All the best!

for valentines dinner we would eat Lobster tails and baked potatos and salad, and for desert we would have company cheesecake with sourcream and cherries on top. this year my husband was not feel well so we did not do it. but we have been married 37 years this May 31st, so that has been a tradition for 36 years.❤❤

Nothing beats wholesome cooking. Great vid. As for the lactose intolerance, I have it too unfortunately. I think there are lactaid tablets you can have before eating or drinking dairy products that might help you Ron 😁

New England has some really old antiques for very reasonable prices ...

Valentine's Day for usually consists of sous vide steak with garlic mushrooms, asparagus with Hollandaise sauce and some kind of dessert, whether it be chocolate-raspberry mousse, red velvet cake, or cheesecake with strawberries, all made from scratch by me, and served on red Colonial look-alike dishes.

We make chocolate covered strawberries in the summertime for desserts! Plus, here in Mississippi they are a staple to every wedding reception and bridal/baby shower! My daughter (19 yo) and her friends make them along with other goodies for their “gal”-intine’s dinner!
