this very track is my mum's favorite, she used to sing quite a lot to it when i was a kid way back in Nigeria, mind you i was born in the late 90s and i still keep this very memory crystal clear and vivid in my mind. It could potentially be her favorite song. Commenting from US. we moved.

I grew up listening to Oumou Sangaré, she used to be my Dad’s favorite female musician back then in Mali.

Un grand souvenir pour moi. en 89 -90 quand on est sorti pour la surveillance du DEF c était notre musique préférée . Le groupe d enseignant a loué une SOTRAMA pour le voyage aller retour . On a passé tout le temps a écouter cette Musique jusqu'à notre retour

A lot of memories are embedded in this song and the whole album for me. Even though I don't understand a thing she says but I love her and her music dearly. Most of us who grew up in northern Nigeria are familiar with Oumou Sangare ❤❤❤❤.
