I agree very similar, but Haltane is my 10/10 perfect fragrance in my collection. That juice is worth any price in my opinion. Just pure perfection

Great video. I agree, these are super similar, but the dry down on Oud For Greatness is magical. It’s also a compliment monster for me. Haltan gets about 4-5 hours on my skin. Oud For Greatness 8-9. Haltan is a bit more sweeter. It all boils down to personal preference can’t go wrong with either.

I’ve been waiting for someone to drop this video for a while. Thank you for doing it. I chose the Haltane as well. I get almost 12hrs out of it. I chose the Oud for Happiness over Oud for Greatness.

I purchased a bottle of Haltane about a month ago and I wear it everyday. It’s a terrific fragrance. I purchased Oud for Greatness about three months ago and to me, it’s just so-so. Haltane it is for me!

I purchased Haltane a few days ago and I love it. I am a woman. However, I enjoy the more masculine, woodsy, oud, saffron fragrance. This fragrance smells amazing on me. And the dry down. OMG! Perfection. Great review

Blind bought our for greatness and on first smell I was a little taken aback. It's so different than anything else I've tried. Have it a full wearing and fell in love.

The timing of this video is such a coincidence. Sunday, I got to smell Haltane for the first time with my wife at Nordstroms. I thought it smelled amazing, so I got a sample of it. Monday and this morning, I kept smelling it thinking to myself, this smells good but familiar. So, I looked Haltane up on Fragrantica, and there it was, the scent is very similar to Oud for Greatness (which I have the clone Oud for Glory). I'm glad that I found this out because I dislike redundancy within my collection. Great video... Also, digging the set up, I'm seeing some cues from your bruh K.S... RIP. Got “Oud for Greatness” yesterday so glad I did I’ve been wanting to get it ever since I smelt it a few months ago in Selfridges.

Haltane is a stand out fragrance… I need to check out Oud for Greatness as well.

Haltane for the win 💚💛. It is much more versatile than OFG. You can wear it even in the warmer weather. So classy with an intoxicating scent trail👍🏾👍🏾. It is cleaner and greener in the opening for sure.

I have own PDM Haltane now about 2 months or so and it is a beast.

I just bought a bottle of Oud for Greatness so I would hope that one is better fir me. Never smelled Haltane. But given the described scent profiles I would probably like Oud for Greatness more. Gourmand elements aren't typically compatible with this general more-formal, serious scent profile, in my opinion.

I just sprayed some haltane. It smells better in the fall than the summer.

Green is the best color!

Just got a chance to wear Haltan today. Amazing. I walked around smelling my wrist making unintelligible noises for about five minutes. Then I broke up a bud of marshmallow milk. When the combination of smells hit me I almost cried. Never had a juice with a cannabis note but if I can find one that recreates that experience I will pay a heavy price.

I’d love to see you do a comparison of Oud Wood and Carved Oud!

Two very similar fragrances indeed! I love and own Haltane however I wish the longevity was a bit better as it only really lasts about 4-5 hours. Kind of wish I had bought OFG for that reason alone as they’re both very similar for others to even notice a difference. How is the longevity for the newer OFG batches? Would love to swap my bottle of Haltane but been hearing that PDM and Initio newer batches don’t last as long as they used to!

Odd... I bought samples of these two without knowing how similar they were in composition. I kept flipping preference from one to the other, but I came to the same conclusion. Still, definitely want to add both in the collection one day.

Haltane all day!

I wore Haltan today for the second time. I prefer Oud for Greatness. They are close, but the opening and the first couple of hours of Oud for Greatness is just more unique and more appealing than Haltan. Haltan is an excellent scent, but it is not Oud for Greatness.

In my opinion Oud for Greatness is a bit more unique but Haltane is much smoother, more versatile and still holds it's uniqueness. My gf thought Oud for Greatnes was a bit feminine. She really liked Haltane.

Frankly, I love them both equally. The one I will wear for the day depends on my mood that morning. Both of them are awesome.

@@FSU92grad You went to FSU!? How cool! Ok, so back to the perfume: Yes, I do think it would be redundant for a normal person to have both of these perfumes in their collection. However, I have them both and I love them both. But if I had to choose only one, I would go with the Haltane. But this is very subjective. If you have a nearby Saks Fifth Avenue store or a similar store near you, you can smell them in person.

Well, for me, it’s a little too late because I have both now and I didn’t realize Haltane was going to smell so similar…I bought it blindly which I normally like to do…I like the surprise of the smell sometimes and I read enough reviews to convince me this one was a gem to own….but now, both are opened and have been used so I can’t return one… I might keep them for a while and then sell one of the bottles on eBay or something…

Oud for Greatness is better than Haltane (which is also good). As much as I enjoyed the beast that is Oud for Greatness I ended up giving it away. Didn't match my personality to be honest, doesn't mean I didn't like the scent though.

I love them both. 1A & 1B. I trust your nose. everything you like i like.

If someone was to adore Oud for Greatness and thought it was magnificent, would Haltane be a safe blindbuy?

So weird I didn’t smell these at the same time but I passed on oud for greatness because to me it’s smelled very sweet. Like a raisin or something. I just got a sample of haltane and it doesn’t smell as sweet as I remember oud for greatness being. It makes me want to smell oud for greatness again because haltane is a little to sweet for me. I will say I think haltane is a better version for men of br540.

I own OFG and i doubt I’ll ever own Haltane but I’ve sampled it and it is a better smelling scent to my nose.

Haltane is my favorite fragrance in my collection. It’s perfectly balanced.It’s super masculine but still sweet and sexy, that’s 1 of things that separates it from OFG imo. The price is dumb high but it’s worth it.

For which season would you guys wear this fragrance?

I noticed the exact same thing. The top notes and the initial spray are very reminiscent but the dry down on the Haltane is great. Decent fragrance but a little overpriced. OFG is a monster and its cousin, Oud for Happiness. 12 hours or wear and in colder weather, they project.

The colors used for Haltane are the Harrods signature colors of green and gold. And the exclusive run has “Harrods” printed on the bottle. I think your take on the comparison is spot on 100 💯 Sauvage Elixir also has similarities to these two.

I smelled Haltane today for the first time and to me it smelled exactly like Polo green did back in the day. So I wasn’t surprised the bottle looked the way it does. I feel like a lot of PDM fragrances remind me of designer stuff which keeps from buying them. (Layton smells a lot like Sauvage to me)
