Nimue was such a nice character before she got the desire to be immortal and have power! Their story is really sad. he shouldn't have told her about the grail in the first place, then she wouldn't have had the desire for the power it could give her

I just realized, when she grew the flowers. Now they're all over the place, I bet the villagers are like "Oh my goodness, too much flowers."

I think Merlin is handsome even for a man who is immortal. He’s good looking 🥰😊

they were such an iconic couple of this season😍true that it turned bullshit and ended in tragic way but still doesn't make it less iconic😍😍😍

I want them to have a happy ending and be together SO MUCH! Why can't they have a happy ending? They are perfect for each other! Poor Merlin :( Well there are always fanfictions I suppose...I am so happy that this ship is canon in OUAT!^-^ But unfortunately I haven't found that many with them as a pairing.^^' But I'm not giving up!^-^

I want Nimue and all the Dark Ones to be freed one day. Even Zoso, I'm sure he was a good man once too. Why else would he stage his own Murder to be free of his power?

This timeline doesn't make sense. When he drank from the Grail, it said "1000 Years Ago", and when he met Nimue, it said "200 Years Ago", implying that Merlin drank from the Grail 800 years before meeting Nimue. But he said it was 500 years ago.....

when you live for 1000 or so years you tend to lose track of time. trust me i know from experience

I guess that's fair. But this is The Sorcerer we're talking about. The guy who knows everything and records history! I mean if he was 50 years off, that would be one thing, but 300 years off? I don't know.

@@under_score3829 Maybe he was already 300 years old when he drank from the grail? People in the Enchanted Realm live long lives looking quite young. Killian is what... 300-400 years old and looks in his twenties. So that could be a different angle to look at.

@@TsukabuNosoratori2 Unfortunately, that explanation doesn't work. Longevity is not natural, even in the Enchanted Forest. People only live long lives if they come into contact with some kind of magic. Killian and his crew survived for so long because they spent most of their time in Neverland where no one ages, only briefly hopping back to the Enchanted Forest once every several years to run errands for Peter Pan. So it's doubtful Merlin would have been that old before he drank from the grail. But even if he was, the issue isn't really what his age is, but how much time passes between events. The screen tells us 1,000 years before present day is when he drank from the grail. Then it tells us 200 years before present day is when he met Nimue. This implies he met Nimue 800 years after drinking from the grail. But then Merlin says that he drank the grail only 500 years before meeting Nimue. So either someone's lying, or the greatest Sorcerer in all the realms can't do math. The inconsistency is in what the episode tells us about Time. Merlin's age at the beginning doesn't really change anything.

maybe they just wanted to keep it simple so used more common numbers. like, 5 is a more common number than 8 so they just had him say 500, or 1000 is a more common number that 700 and also, it looks more impressive when you're not overthinking it that he is 1000+ years old

So... Merlin planted the seed that led to Nimue's thirst for immortality?
