I love the moment Emma shouts at Regina because Emma lost so many people like graham, neal and even august and so of course she doesn't want to lose hook aswell and Regina pushed Emma to save robin for her but she isn't allowed to use her own powers to save the person she loves , that's unfair

Yeah Emma had been through so much some villian that she fought said they were using her power and to be honest they are she always has do things for others happiness but barley does anything for her own and hook poor guy get tortured throughout majority of the show but majority of the people and i feel bad for some others characters too but mainly Emma and belle and Regina

when she finally admits that she wants a future with him and she begins to loose it all over again. the life of a savior is hard, and painful. hope they all get there happy ending.

If I were in Emma's shoes, I probably would've done the same. Give the poor girl a break though. First graham, then Neil and now Hook. I don't blame her for taking such extreme measures.

He died so many times throughout this show. He was my favorite so I spent a lot of time crying

I was screaming "Noooooo" in my room and my dad had to come see if someone died or something, and I screamed "MY HAPPINESS IS DEAD!" He just rolled his eyes and left... He doesn't get it

It bugs me to this day that Merlin, who claimed to see the future, who knew Killian got cut by the sword, who knew Emma was on edge, didn't ask Hook and the others to wait outside.

Every time I watch this scene I just imagine the sword saying ‘I’m taking you with me pirate’

I just can't believe it went from Henry finding her one night on her birthday and now she has magic her husband is Captain Hook

I understand Emma had a split second decision to make here. But, she had to understand this is what she wanted, not considering how this would affect everyone, even Hook. I don't think she should have made such an impulsive choice at the expense of a heavy price for it.

I guess it's kinda hurtful when everyone you love in romantic way just die.

I understand everyone's decision if the role were reverse with Regina , Emma would tell her it's wrong and not to do it but Regina would still do it because she won't lose the person she loved, same with everyone, what I'm trying to say is no one is wrong here, Killian is not wrong not for not wanting to become himself dark, the others weren't wrong for not wanting to make Hook the Dark One, Emma either was not wrong for wanting to save the person she love. So stop blaming someone for this

Turns out Merlin was right, that steep price for destroying the darkness didn't come to Emma or Killian though, it came to Rumple. Having to lose the one you love the most, or crushing their heart, you at least can feel like it's your fault, but watching the one you love the most just, become old and fade away, you can't blame anyone except death, and death feels no remorse, no guilt, just nothing. You feel alone, helpless, not sure of what to do ever again, you just, feel lost. This is what Rumple had to go through when he lost Belle, and instead of finding an easy way to do it, he promised her he would find a way to give the darkness to someone without it being a burden to them, and when he finally found someone who could take his darkness, that being wish realm Rumple, he probably didn't want to all that much because of how dangerous he knew that version of him was, but he did it anyway, and when the final test came, to save wish realm Hook, and save all the realms, save everyone, at the cost of his own life, he did it, not because wish realm Rumple taking the darkness tied to our Rumple's heart gave him a connection that could end wish realm Rumple, but because it was his oldest friends life, and because it was the right thing to do, not just specifically because he would be doing it to take out wish realm Rumple, but because it was the right thing to do, and thus, ended the dark ones, forever... And in the end, he did live up to the promise the fairies had seen in him, that one day, he'd die a savior, fighting a great evil in the final battle, because even though this took place in the past, this was the last battle he ever had to face, not against some black fairy or his mum, but against his inner most demon, against the worst version of himself, and he won.

He gave Wish Hook his heart so he could live, because he was willing to do whatever it took to kill Wish Rumple, knowing that, no matter what he did with his life, he would NEVER be reunited with Belle. He was willing to risk never seeing Belle again just so that Wish Rumple would die and the realms would be rid of the evil Rumpelstiltskin for good. He didn’t want a reward when he sacrificed himself, he did it for the simple reason that it was right, and the only way to kill Wish Rumple.

If you were in Emma’s shoes and you could save the person you loved, even if it’s by turning them into the thing they hate, wouldn’t you? It was a literal split second decision, she didn’t have time to actually think it through or find another way, because there was no other way. If I was in her shoes, I would probably do the same thing, just to save the person I loved. I get that it’s selfish, but it’s also very human

+Muneeb Alam he was fighting with Arthur earlier and Arthur gave him a cut with Excalibur. Emma healed it at the time but Excalibur was enchanted causing his cut to get bigger.

I’m sorry but everyone there would have made the same decision the roles would be reversed if it was Regina but she would still do it despite Emma warning her. She also asked Emma to save robin with magic despite how it could effect Emma either so no I never blamed Emma for this decision it was the one time she was selfish and wanted something for herself.

This is stupid. Merlin should have used his magic & stopped Emma from saving Hook. Sure it would've sent Emma even darker, but 1 dark one is better than 2. And if saving hook isn't an option maybe Emma could be reasoned with after getting her butt kicked by Merlin. If she still wouldn't give up the darkness then imprison or kill her.

Merlin was so powerful while controlled by Excalibur in his fight against Emma that he beat her in a matter of seconds. Emma had both her normal powers and dark one stuff as well and the fight still ended really quickly. Even if Merlin is weakened (and I don't remember that being made clear, but I could have missed something), Merlin and Regina could've two-oned her. If I recall correctly, Regina is supposed to be pretty powerful without Merlin's help. I simply do not see how Emma could defeat both of them at the same time not to mention the fact that there were plenty of people in that room without magic who could have done their best to help out. If you are going to argue that Regina accepted Emma's reasoning about her trying to save Daniel or Robin being equal to Emma creating another dark one, which I am not saying you would, please don't because that is even more stupid that Regina and Merlin being so outmatched by Emma that they do not even try fighting. Rumpelstiltskin is perfect proof of just how dangerous one dark one is. Trying to compare what Regina did to the evils that could arise if two dark ones were waltzing around is silly. How did you discern that Merlin was weakened? Did they say it?

@@justinm.1508 I just went back and watched the fight between him and Emma. He is really tired after resisting Excalibur, but they did not give any indication that for him to recover would require anything special. I assumed that he was back to normal in this scene because he was no longer acting tired. If they want to communicate that he was weak, they did not have to have a character spell it out for me. All I needed was some sign from the scene itself that Merlin was weakened. But he was still talking, walking, and behaving as he usually did. Offscreen statements by the creators do not count if they fail to give that information to the audience onscreen. Accidental good writing is totally a thing that happens so even if what they were trying to do did not make sense, I would have been willing to accept an explanation that ended up in the story by accident. However, in this situation that is not the case. It's the same bull they pulled with Hook getting cut by Excalibur. Yes, Arthur swung at Hook, but based on what I saw, Hook dodged it by far too much distance to even get cut. Although, I had a hard time following it because the way they filmed it made Arthur's sword look blurry so it is hard to tell. But, even if Hook was close enough the only reason Arthur got a chance to swing at him was because Hook opened his big mouth letting Arthur know he was coming instead of attacking silently like any normal person would have. Well, and Zelena should have seen Hook coming and warned Arthur and Hook probably should have made noise crossing the leaves which would have alerted Arthur regardless. This entire plot point of Hook turning into a dark one is just really forced. I don't have a problem with the idea, but the execution was just really aggravating to watch. It's not exactly like I held the show in high esteem and I felt like it really let me down. But this was annoying even by their standards.

​@@justinm.1508 I'm rather disappointed by how this show decided to handle Merlin's character overall. For the first time, the show put in an extremely powerful good guy who on top of that was black. Despite the fact that I am not black and only a casual viewer of this show, I was really excited by this for two reasons. 1. This show had an annoying habit of making all the most powerful characters villains or at least antagonists which was fine in the first season as the whole point was that Emma the Savior needed to well save the town. However, as the seasons have gone on and on, there did not seem to be a point to the power imbalance. As a result, the plot has gradually gotten repetitive without purpose. Merlin could have fixed that, but no, the only great fight scene he gets is when he fought Emma under Excalibur's control. 2. Growing up, I didn't get to see black characters being awesome in most of the fictional stories I was either reading or watching, and this show was no exception. I hoped Merlin being black was their chance to deliver a complex and powerful black character to the show's audience. I guess they just wanted diversity points.

(My English, that's just because I'm not a native and I didn't know if I made mistakes ^^') However, my only point was: When Emma came back to Granny's after the fight, you see her asking something like "Where's Merlin, we're about to restore Excalibur?" (Something like that, I don't know) and Belle answered a thing like "Oh I'm afraid that Merlin cannot do anything for us right now, resisting Excalibur has exhausted him". That's why I said that...I thought that Excalibur drained so much "magic energy" just resisting that power that was the reason he did nothing to stop her.
