Go look at 16:53 bottom right of screen, the leaves look like a woman’s face kinda spooky. Glad to see alot of us getting back out just returned myself from a four day in the Carolinas.

loco libre for the win! but oh my that hammock of yours was UNBELIEVABLE.. when we get the little gizmo that cloaks a windproof bubble around us (oh yes i've seen the future) that will be the dream! you're killing me.. i may have to convert to hanging!

You really do need to give it a real try! And give it more than one night to really try it out. If you're like me what you'll find is you sleep better, and you wake up more refreshed and less stiff/sore than when you're on the ground. But yeah, that monolite is amazingly see-thru!

Feedback: Relatively new subscriber, so I haven't seen many of your trip videos yet. Appreciated the commentary you gave at the rest points. I'd like more commentary during the hiking parts. What you're seeing, what you're experiencing. For instance, you later explained about the ticks, but I had to back up to see why you were showing us your ankle the first time (saw the tick on there the second viewing). I camp vicariously through you awesome KZreadrs and so appreciate you showing us what you're going through and experiencing. Thanks for sharing!

I've done both types of videos. In fact, I believe this was the first of the not so much talking type videos. I enjoy both kinds, but the ones that I find myself watching are more silent type videos. I will be sure to keep mixing it up though, I appreciate the feedback! Thanks!

I thought you made a fine video! Sound was good , visually excellent and I liked to hear about details that are part of backpacking for you that maybe you don't photograph or video. It's interesting to me to see different gear , food preferences and outlooks in general people have on the trail.

Nice trip and maybe Rainman did shed his Trail name. I'm trying to change my shooting and editing process too. I've been following these YT'bers and although I'll never be at there level, some of there tips and tricks are invaluable. (Aidin Robbins / Peter Lindgren) Seemed like there were a few extra Ad's in this one, but never a big deal on this end.

It's a good trail, depending on the direction you decide to go, you could go east to west (opposite of mile markers) and get into shape while you're out there. It is flat and slowly ramps up in that direction.

@@SpiguyverBackpacking1 When is some company going to come up with pants that are cool and yet will keep off ticks and other bugs? I know Trip Smith had some outdoor wear that was for mosquitoes, I think it was called "Rynoskin" but it was designed to be worn under normal clothing.

I thought I'd stumbled across another thru hiker's channel for a minute. Hahaha. It's nice to change it up and try new elements and styles every so often. This vid felt nice. There's only so much you can do with a hiking video. At least you took the time to shoot recaps and lots of b-roll. I always have such big plans for shooting and end up just barely shooting pics some days. Overall, though, I feel like the quality of production and content on your channel has up-leveled quite a bit in recent months. And of course you got me all curious about the Wraith so I am looking into that. I had some hangs on the PCT where the 360 deg view feature would've been really nice. What's the bug situation without an under quilt? Seems like your back would be prime eating grounds for mosquitos.

@@SpiguyverBackpacking1 I do that also, but find that while it penetrates and lasts a good while on the fabric body, it's not quite so effective on the netting where it can't really soak in and so adhesion isn't great. Usually the netting isn't very bug repellent after the hammock has been in and out of the bag and set up a few times. Def not after it gets wet. Whatever chemical residue is left is rinsed off immediately.
