Hey Valdemar great videos, I'm a complete noob and trying to get good at Ottoman, have a questions if you could answer: You went from 8 food vills to 11 at 6:30; was this a "feel" decision, like you just decided you needed more wood? or part of the actual build order?

I struggle a lot playing Japanese these days. Im stuck between dia 3 and conq 1. Only viable option to win games seems to be mass onna bugheisha and thats boring. Wanna play ottoman now and this guide is great, looks fun to play as well

Nice, you keeping mill schools on sipahi even after the castle age up? I've always switched them to MAA as soon as castle came through as the value of them seemed better

Change them too of course. MAA if feudal opponent, and then either xbow or sipahi if castle age opponent

@@Valdemar1902 why don't you keep them on Man-At-Arms if the opponent is in Castle Age? Do you think the Sipahis are better as damage sponges in straight engagements?

In castle age, your opponent will push out armor units too, so you'll need crossbows. Against ranged units and for raiding, Sipahis are also stronger, but that doesn't mean that they are useless if you can counter the crossbows with Sipahi/archer on top. It's situational, really, and you get a feel for it :)@@VittamarFasuthAkbin

in the linked build order you suggest going for a dark age barracks against Mali. Do you skip the military school until you get to feudal age?

I would skip it in dark age. Then in feudal you can go fast 2tc or go military schools with a castle timing :)

As for landmark placement, I build it to the opposite direction of my blacksmith layout

But against feudal MAA civ, is feudal push that efficient ? How to deal with them ?

I always loose against english in early fudal aggresion, how do I counter them?

Age up with a 5/2 split at 2:12 with 4 vills. Then macro 6f and rest on wood when aging and immediatly drop 1stable + 1archeryrange and full produce to clean out longbows and spears.
