This is a video of Otoe-Missouria tribal elders Truman Dailey and Richard Roubedeaux singing the Otoe Flag Song. The flag song is sung at all dances and cultural gatherings. It is customary for people to stand during the flag song, as you would for the National Anthem. The Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Indians is located in Red Rock, Oklahoma. This recording was made in Truman Dailey's home in the early 1990s, as part of the Missouri Chiwere Language Project from the University of Missouri-Columbia Department of Anthropology. The project was funded by the National Science Foundation, Documenting Endangered Languages Fund, N. Louanna Furbee, P.I.
