This is one of my favorite songs performed on an annual basis in Oklahoma. Recorded at White Eagle, Oklahoma, Ponca Powwow, 2012. One of the final songs of the evening on Sunday night. Women singers are referred to as "Lady Singers," however, women who sing at powwows are often referred to as "Chorus Girls," by the emcees, as was the case at the Ponca Powwow in 2012. However, as noted below, some women singers prefer the term "Lady Singers." Included here for clarity with respect.

It was so awesome seeing my older sister Frances and my mother jovonne lieb standing behind her, singing the chorus girl song. (I love you Mom and I miss you every day...) God Bless every1 today!

I love this song. Could listen to it over and over. Miss seeing my uncles Maynard and Edwin Hinman sitting around the big drum though.

Missing my annuals PowWows...Last one attended was in Summer of 2005. Too Long! Was hoping this year......but don't think so.... maybe next year before my daughter goes into college. Standsblack-Carver
