I have this pack, bought it about a month ago and have gone on two 12 mile hikes and three 5 mile hikes with it, I like it. I’m not a bike rider btw. It’s the most comfortable day pack I’ve ever had. I’m 6 ft, 190 lbs, torso length 21. It fits me great. I got the blue, much brighter color than your pack. Thanks for the review, good job.

Easily one of my fav packs. Cool to hear your story. Until this day I would say that this is the most comfy backpack ever(tried by me). Nice that you have the same experience. It is also cool that it has so many compartments. It is just super nice for hiking. If the user does not need camera/other gear that needs specific backpacks, then this is imo the one. For this type of L of course. Cool and thank you for the feedback!

Hi, thanks for the review. A magnet close to the body does not have any physical effects. The strength of these magnets is far to small to cause any problems. Even most pacemakers or other (cardial) implants will have no problem with such a small magnet nearby (but in these cases, of course always check when in doubt). In general, it is only very strong magnets (MRI scanners) and/or large fluctuations in de magnetic field that might give some effects in specific cases.

I know this bag is made for cyclist I had the predosessor raptor 18 litre (they don't make this size anymore) in red. Love it all day. Brilliant bag it came with 3 litre bladder they I don't think they make that size bladder anymore for Osprey it's different company too, the mesh at the back is great I don't sweat there either.

Hi there Joel, that is a very clear question with a very clear answer: No. Not even a 13". And no don't try it, the aluminum back panel prevents that. You could insert the laptop in the main compartment but I wouldn't suggest that as it destroys the whole meaning of this backpack. Hope it helped.

Hello, im a bit concerned about the rods from the air suspension system on the back of the backpack in cas of a fall on my MTB, would you say it could potentially hurt your back?

  • @VlogsByEl

    @VlogsByEl

    Жыл бұрын

Dear Erik, as I mention lot's of times in my videos, I'm no authority so please take this just as an opinion of a user not someone that is a pro: hurt is a relative thing, are you fat, skinny, are you strong are you weak? etc. I can't answer that correctly sorry, you might reach out to osprey and ask them, they are really quick with answers and and they are really open and honest imo. They would know better. I don't use this on MTB because I use it for hiking, but it is an interesting question. If you get an answer it would be nice if you would post it here. One interesting thing I can tell you: IT is Super Light!

@@erikfarkas7868 thanks for letting me know. Well yes, clear that it is well padded but you know there is a mesh system suspended from backpack to your body that won't hurt and then there are the 2 frames but never heard of something happening with those. If you do some crazy stuff, then I would advise personally, wear something that can't hurt you nah mean?

Hi. I’m going to buyt this backpack…material 100D holds up well? That's my only concern as most backpacks use nylon 210D which seems more sturdy and durable.

  • @VlogsByEl

To be honest I never had an osprey backpack break. Now please keep in mind your question is very relative, how do you use it? If you plan on scratching it yes it will break, if you need any special need backpack then it's best to get that backpack like, military, marine etc. But I never heard of any nylon fabric breaking so unfortunately I can't help you with that answer.. please understand I don't have that experience..

Over the last 5 years or so, I've had 2 different Osprey backpacks. I've treated them pretty rough, had a few bike crashes with them and so on, and I have never had the nylon break on either of the backpacks.

There seems to be different version of this bag the lettering in front is different one says syncro 20 horizontal while the other goes vertical trying to figure out which one is the newer version . Amazon sent a different one then the pics showed.

  • @VlogsByEl

Hi Jason, you can't really rely on amazon info. It's often provided by third parties. However if it helps you, mine is the 2021 version bought from Osprey directly. Don't know if I'm right or even if it's a big difference but I've checked some and my opinion is that the vertical lettering is/are the older versions. But I can be very wrong. Just checked the lines on the bags and seems the older ones have more lines drawn on them. However if your edition is good I think you're safe. But I can't speak on the features, if they are the same. Hope you are happy in the end with your new bag.

I'm so sorry that I can't reply to that, I am not familiar with trekking. I know the word but have no real clue what it is. In my idea it is, a backpack for multiple days, trekking around places. So this one you can forget my friend unless you are very minimalistic, this is a 20L backpack, that is very very small for trekking in my opinion, but then again I have no experience or know what I am talking about when it comes to trekking so forgive me but I can't give you advice on this one. 🙏🏼

@@asoro_1632 This pack is honestly the most comfortable one I own if I'm correct. Osprey is overall the most comfortable. If you want comfort Osprey is the way to go. However I do suspect Deuter to be comfortable also, never owned one, well not long enough and not this category. This is a super comfortable backpack. You will enjoy the waist straps and especially the suspended back system, it has amazing shoulder/traps comfortability. I will always say this backpack is one of the best, no matter what. Hope that helps. Cheers

It also depends on the strength of the magnet. Magnets used in an MRI are way stronger than the one used on. the backpack. I had an implant for a study and was warned to tell doctors about MRI. Had it removed after the heart study was completed. it was not a pacemaker though.
