Thanks for this video, it helped me decide. These are all great bags for biking and hiking. But the Syncro wins, IMO for activities in warm temperatures. And that's what I chose (Syncro 12). Most bags stay flat on my back and after a short while of riding in the summer, I get a hot/sweaty back, as there is no ventilation between the surface of my back and the surface of the bag. The Syncro 12 changes that, allowing ventilation between my back and the bag. I find it works quite well in application, after using it, VS my other Osprey and Camelbak bags. The Syncro 12 does not give you the sensation there is nothing on your back, but I noted much less sweat in that area, which I think is a significant feature and advantage of this Osprey model. I think it's the winner of this bunch.

Thanks for the overview. Went for the synchro 5 since I already own a deuter trans alpine 30 from 10 years ago but usually do not need it and only bring a hip bag. So I needed a hip bag with 2l water capacity. 😂 The synchro seems to be just that. Now lets see if I get my 3l source bladder crammed in.

Buy an after market pouch and use 50lb wax cord to attach to harness I do this with all my packs

It's dumb that they make back pack that hold water (preferably cold) in the color black which attracts heat! Lighter colors like tan or grey would be smarter as well as a covering on those obnoxiously long hoses so that the first sip you get isn't hot water. I love their backpacks, but their designers need to do better.
