Let me explain, it's Oscars not Grammy so only music/song played in any movie could win. Natu Natu was a nominee because it was played in RRR. The performers did a fantastic job! It’s difficult for even Indian dancers who may be familiar with regional dance styles to pull high energy moves like that. They all did such a good job and it was choreographed very well. Kudos to everyone.

What a song , what a choreography, what a dancing performance , at their very best, It has set a new trend, new class, new bar and new tone for Indian Cinema

Racist Indians are being proud of themselves now. Rhina's ""Lift me up" deserves Oscar. As A Mongolian, I am familiar with this type of stupid Indian dancing and singing. I am fed up with it. Oscar is going downhill by awarding such a stupid Indian song. Rhina's "Lift me Up" was classic and really empowering!!!

the appreciation and love of audience are the real award for any artist

I had not heard the song prior to the Oscar performance and I fell in love with it so hard! I remember telling myself that if Naatu Naatu did not win the Oscar for Best Original Song, I would turn off my television and never watch the Oscars again! I watched the movie RRR this weekend and LOVED IT! All 3 hours of it! My first Indian movie ever and I feel like I've been missing a lot in my life! I need to see more! ❤🤩❤🤩❤

Congratulations to the RRR team and Music Director Keeravani! A well deserved award. The song has a vibe of its own. While Indian movies still lack the nuances for a global audience, their songs have a unique essence of their own and should be celebrated for it. That's what made Naatu Naatu so successful, great sets, fantastic choreographic, excellent performance and chemistry among the leads - a perfect combo!

@@Jee2024IIT If you think that only well-deserved classic songs deserve an oscar, then I am afraid there are 1000s of songs that would qualify. But you need to understand. Oscars can be only given to songs and films that are nominated. Hence I guess within the entries, Naatu Naatu was a well-deserving win. It made many foreigners tap their feet genuinely, what more can we expect?

The actors were phenomenal. The Oscar dancers were also fantastic. Their faces are so happy and to do something very different from what they are used to. Look at all the dancers face when they do the line dance. It was amazing.

Everyone is is like “why didn’t they use Indian dancers” but I think it’s a very sweet tribute one culture is paying to another. The dancers aren’t just doing the moves but are really feeling those desi vibes ❤

I don't know why but a really amazing moment for me to see the Performance of this Talgu song in OSCARS. AS a Pakistani, very proud of our neighbor from whom all of us South Asians draw so much inspiration.

@@joisaita6522 私もこの映画を見てインド楽しそうだなぁと好きになりました。 お恥ずかしい話ですが、インド神話にはあまり詳しくなくて、見ている時に神話っぽいなと思って調べて理解できる場面もあったので2回見に行きました…w 周りにも似たような人がいて、私が面白かったと話した友人は祖母とインド神話調べてから一緒に見に行って満足して帰ってきたらしいです🤭そのおばあさんがババ友にも広めているそうで……wその方もインド楽しそう！！って言ってたのでいつか一緒に足を運びたいと思います🥰

they are professional trained dancers they can do any type of dance whether its hard or easy they are so good that they can even do a dance style which they have never tried like indian classical dance kathak-kali

This song is the best example how art and music connects people. It's a Telgu song, there is a Hindi(most common language in North India) version of this song as well, but even Hindi speaking people prefer to listen to Telgu version due to authenticity, they don't understand Telgu but still most people prefer Telgu version. I have seen people here in India, they forgot language barrier when this song in played here in clubs or parties or on festivals. Now, this had taken over the whole world, people do not understand language but understand emotions and joy. Its really amazing.
