I loved visting Pere Lachaise cemetery, especially to see one of my favourite artists tombstone, the areas around the cemetery are cool as well, we stayed in Belleville and around the 20th Arrondisment, the hotels and airbnbs around there are alot cheaper than right near the Seine like the Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Notre Dame.

That was interesting Billy. I went there years ago, but I wasn't in a condition to appreciate it - I was playing over there at the time, and had always wanted to see Morrison's grave. I think Edith Piaf is there as well as classical composers. But you're right, a lot of well, known artists are buried there - saying that, Napoleon had the place created, not just for famous people, but for everyone 'as all citizens deserve to be buried.' What struck me is how big it is...the place is massive. I like watching your posts about Liverpool, seeing how others live....but I enjoyed this. Might go over myself in a bit.

Yeah been a couple of times myself bill, the first time I went if you think that headstone for morrison was modest you should have seen the original, it was just a block stone with is name on it, there was a bust of is head on top of the stone but someone pinched it. It wasn't fenced off back then ( I've got pics somewhere of me crouched down next to the grave).

Ahh just saw Jim's name there, the American Poet, brilliant considering he's one of the '27' club! I mean all that came from a film university kid all before he was 27! The name was instant click bait for me, no 'I'll watch it later!' It wasn't an overdose Bill it was alcohol and yes they did find some strong H in in his but a French Marquis really liked his bird Pamela Courson, she died shortly after but I reckon this c*** had something do to with it! So does my daughter who is infatuated with f***in Kurt Cobain and Jim. I dunno why you ain't in the 100k's Bill, I've tried my best mate with things.
