I have yet to see the content, but one thing that shocked me in Calcutta Kensington, when I was passing through

I put the steel on them windows back in 2006. Cant believe their still there. Some of the sights in them houses was crazy. Especially the big gaffs on Edge Lane that was open crack houses.

Worked on many houses around there billy underpinning crack repairs, used to need protection to stop your tools and machinery from getting robbed, thanks for the video billy.

The Merseyside Police and UK Gov are useless as they waste the day arresting or harassing innocent people, instead of actually trying to fix a problem. Taxes are also used wrongly!

Shiel Road just kept on going, it was a great street back in the day, full of nice people and decent tidy suburbs. It continued right down Belmont Road and crossed Breck Road where I lived, right behind Paddy Clifftons Restaurant “ The Oliver Twist “ and opposite “ Ohares “ The Jewlers. The pub called the George was on the other side, with a great mate of mine “ Freddie Thommo “ working behind the Bar and keeping everyone in line. I myself lived in Jupiter Close, the beginning of Murder Mile.....lol . I loved living there, everyone was friendly and respectful, all the kids were great, JoJo ( a Tomboy ) the best footy player in the Close, little Ollie who kept an eye on my car on match day for me. Tidy Anne who was Jojos hot older sister lol, the list goes on, I could sing the praises of the area all day Bill, thanks for the memories lad, love your show. Keep them coming 👍🏼

When we left Bosnia during the war, we stayed near Park Lane,, but 2017 we came to watch Hajduk at Goodison I could find no trace - he mentioned a few pubs and also the "Nigerian club" - I think that is long gone now? Granby Street so different too Hope to be in Liverpool in April 🙋‍♀️

I worked in Toxteth in the late 80's on Granby Action, the refurbishment of the houses, and it was very, very good what they ended up as, very nice. I went away, for a few years to do some work down south, and when I came back what a mess someone had made of Toxteth.

Allerton Road isn't what it was..last time I went along there the pavements were littered with rubbish.. lots of shops either left empty or given over to charity outlets and burger type cafes...a general air of faded glory about the place..now I hear Barclays Bank are closing...so..more shuttered store fronts ...the south end of Liverpool is not the same as it was even 10 years ago

It’s like every city you got good and bad areas I live for drop and I walk my dog down Princess Parks Sefton Park. I live not far from Saint Jameses Park. I’ve walked down Smithtown Road and some parts there looks a bit rough in Birmingham they have some really bad ones and like you said that one does look like American Hopefully they start to clean it up and make the city look a bit better because we’re getting a lot of tourist and I don’t think the bus go around that area do they and thank you for sharing that it’s good to see around the area you take care 😊👍

Great video, Billy. Council need to step up to the mark and address some of the issues we face. Some good people in those areas, being let down by the City council and others.

When I lived in Entwistle Granby was really busy and lively. It was a great community.

Billy what's anfield, goodison and Scott road like now?

Lived in prescot Road and school in Sheil Road had friends in the houses there and in Geneva Road. Its a shame the way its been left to rot Forgotten by those in government not interested in the people or the city its so sad heartbreaking.

Moved further north in late 90s. But Newsham Park will always be beautiful!

Kensington and Toxteth have been run down areas since I was a child and I'm 61 now. You will always get good natured decent people living in L8 and L7 but give many of them an opportunity to move, I think they would jump at it. Bringing young children up down there can't be easy.

If i ever fancy a weekend in Liverpool i will hire you Bill as my personal security.

​​@@KevSmith.yes well as the title says the 2 most run down parts of Liverpool which were he went Sheil Rd and parts of Gramby are. Its certainly not like this all over the city. I'm from Anfield which is only a 15min walk from Kensington and as rough as it is it certainly doesn't look like that with shite everywhere and brasses all over leaving Johnny's and paraphernalia everywhere. Kenny has been on a steady decline for a good 15 years now.

Noticed a lot of council CCTV in those areas you've shown. Says it all really but at least its there.

Our new Wool Mayor prides himself on being the MP for Kenny for the last 15 years or so. What are we letting happen to our city people? We need to start practicing what we preach and pulling together before we end up like the mancs- a minority in our own City. One of the sad things, some of these houses are beautiful, well built, and are still standing strong 100-150 yrs after they were built! Most of the shitty, pebbledashed, estates they built in the 70s started falling apart within 10 years! How much of Everton Brow, Kenny Estate, etc is still standing? And they say they didn't cut corners! Fkn joke councils throughout Britaoin lining their pockets while their communities and policing in them were underfunded and left to rot.

Why is there so many churches in liverpool? I mean I live in a relatively big city (leeds) and we don't seem to have nowhere near as many.

They should just buid a big fence around it and call it a gaol.

These areas have been completely abandoned. However, this is part of a plan to redevelop the area in the next two or three decades. Governments, and councils, plan so far ahead, and these areas are deliberately run down, leaving them economically attractive to the developers. It would not surprise me if the highways agency already has plans in place for new roads in the areas featured.

The side of Shield rd you are on and showing is Fairfield not Kensington , Kensington ends at Shield rd then it becomes Prescot rd Fairfield

Sam may aswell have a big sign over his shoulder saying rob me please 😂. It would probably attract less attention than that big expensive camera.

I moved up to to the North West from an old steel town between Nottingham and Derby, personally I enjoy Billy's channel,take interest in his content and guests in varying degrees. I'm probably geographically defamed as a 'scab' by some, now a 'wool' due to current location of 14 years but take note of the degradation and neglect that's been forced on not on Liverpool but every town and city of no use to these Tory inhumane cretins that house the pondlife they want to idolise them in guise of patriotism. It's in the "garment district" (the industrial estate behind TJS) bill, I have an idea for a new video, Go across the promenade, start a Sacombe and finish at hoylake or even new Brighton ,I always think the contrast between the poor area (Sacombe) and then the middle class (new Brighton) then the upper class (hoylake ) is unlike anywhere I've ever been before ,you could really strech it out go on a city bike and even review some of the places to eat ,there are loads across the prom if you look on Google , just an idea, I love what you do bill and think its important what you do exposing what the council have left this city to become, however a bit of a non doom an gloom adventure / explore would be good to balence your channel out , you could make a few episodes out of it, keep up the good work bill @@theallornothingpodcastwith4442

Sadly mate, ALL working class inner cities have areas that look like this, but its NOT 90%! 10% tops, but if thats all you see, thats what ya gonna believe. Liverpool gets shown the most by people who are not from here, jumping on the bandwagon, which puts businesses off from locating here, but its everywhere. 12 years of tory, southern centric bias, doesnt help.

Council allow this to happen was born in Kensington not to far from where billy is and back in the 60s Shiel Road was a good place to live as you can see lovely big Edwardian Victorian dwellings moved away when I was 10 but that area was still looked after can not believe how run down it has been allowed to go very very sad

Such a shame, some of them houses are solid not like the houses they throw up now. Council shamed, never looked after the city, let it go to sh##. Embarrassed by it!
