Really glad we didn't get to see the full lap, I mean that would have been so boring and not really showed off your car very well at all. Good thing we only got these few clips or we might have been extremely impressed by it. Glad that didn't happen. 60 seconds of fast cuts was all we needed. Great job McLaren social media team, you killed this one!

No matter how fast your car is. If you're doing an extra lap in the rain, the VW Beetle might be faster.

Marketing videos with f1 drivers are just too unconvincing. It’s clearly media duty they don’t enjoy. Piastri is just told to act impressed with the car’s power, talk about the cool wing. Do something that features the drivers talent. Have them set lap times with the 750s between eachother, make them do a stunt that easily translates from f1 driving like Red Bulls drifting with max, don’t make them act like they care about these cars because they clearly don’t and don’t seem to enjoy acting.

Exactly, so obvious he got told what to say: “holy sh*t that was fast”….

Fun fact: F1 cars hit their top speed after about 1-1.5 km as setup for races. It then drops when the small battery goed empty. A 750S will need more room, but will set a faster faster top speed eventually. With less power. The 1990s McLaren F1 road car was even crazier that way. ~627 hp for ~240 mph. F1 cars: 1050 hp, 210-215 kph if lucky, set up for Silverstone.

210 kph is a lie and a half, f1 cars reach over 300 kph on Silverstone its a very fast track
