I love how Sir Frank Williams, who suffered such a catastrophic accident and has used a wheelchair with limited function of his upper body ever since, gets in a car with Lewis Hamilton and clearly says, "Overtake them!" It is a S63 AMG convertible, the least sporty AMG besides the G class really. It's luxury, the car doesn't even have sport+ or race mode. Whichever idiot decided that should be the hot lap car really has no clue

Lewis has got a magical smile whenever i watch this i get happiness and positive vibes

Seriously, for people who say Ham is aloof, stuck up, a prima donna or whatever the bull that comes out once in a while, they should just go and have a look at this video. So humble and so full of respect for Frank. The pleasure in being able to give the old man an enjoyable experience was plain to see.

I think you can still be all those things and still be a good person. The problem most fans have with him is that he is one of the best drivers, in the best car. I'm eager to see how he reacts and handles this season as seeing the Merc won't be ahead of the other teams, in fact I think they are half a second off pace. Lewis will prolly go down as one of F1's best drivers, but when you have a far better car some people feel he is gifted a lot of wins.

Him going for that 2nd lap is the best thing ever. You see the PURE JOY Frank is having being able to go around Silverstone at a good pace by an amazing champ

The "Oh Jeez" that Lewis said, you can see he wanted this lap to mean something to him and was afraid of disappointing Frank

You can tell how much the formula drivers physically train in this video, Lewis looks like nothing is happening while his passengers are flopping all over the car.

Me too - first thought was that it exploded or something. Fascinating to see how “wobbly” it looked. Made me think of the forces and strain a tyre is actually exposed to.

Agree, although I think the camera's rolling shutter makes it look worse.

It looks cool but it’s the cameras shutter speed that is causing the distortion.

Watching Sir Lewis, with so much respect in his heart in this special moment, drive the wonderful late Sir Frank around the track in the same car which is my weekender, is, well beyond words. And with a tear in my eye for the late legend.

It was heart warming to see the two legends of F1 in the same car, running around "home of F1"... Lewis was so polite almost star truck with the legend while he himself is legend!!

Lewis is someone that you can’t hate no matter what. The more I see him the more I like him. He has a great personality and seems to be a genuine person. Lewis keep being you!

Quite! I'm not necessarily a fan of some of his more 'fashionable' political opinions, but whenever I see him interviewed he comes across as enthusiastic, polite, respectful and genuine; I find it slightly weird how many people fail to see it.

Just look at Lewis smiling the whole time and laughing how can people hate this guy he's so Humble❤

As a Brazilian, I can surely say that Lewis Hamilton reminds us, Ayrton Senna. The way that he treats people outside the race and the absolute courage that he displays in F1 cockpit. Thanks for the video.

That is priceless...

You can only really appreciate F1 Drivers when they're next to regular people. Williams moves around so much on the turns (as anyone would) and Lewis is so still that you'd never guess he's driving at full speed through a circuit.

In fairness, a regular person would move less than Sir Frank, who was paralysed from the waist down and had minimal function in his arms; a normal person could brace their body, Sir Frank could not.

Bring to tears to my eye when Frank say 'u r legend ' then Lewis response 'but u r star'

I've watched f1 for 30 years and this is most amazing video I have seen from the sport. it meant a lot to me thank you Mercedes

I love Lewis Face when driving sir Williams, he looks like a child during christmas !

I am a Ferrari supporter - always was - but surely two legends sat at the front of that Mercedes. Great video, lovely to see the joy on Sir Frank Williams's face and also the respect from Lewis to Sir Frank! 👌👏👏👌 :)

It’s funny how seeing F1 drivers in regular cars really brings home just how good they are as it’s often difficult to gauge the speed of an F1 car when the reference point is other F1. Cars

O think the value of the car would increase.. 2 legends inside the MB.. Not decrease for sure..

R.I.P Sir Frank, you will be remembered for your passion for racing and as one of the most significant figures to the sport. The boss and reason we saw some of the greatest drivers in the past!

Rest in peace Sir Frank. His face when Lewis said he had to go slow 🤣. A true racer.

This was so touching. You can see their high respect for each other for the differing reasons. Franks longevity in the sport and winning so many constructors titles which Lewis would have grown up watching a part of this, and him now being a multi world champion. Also was great how Lewis' team tried to only let him give Frank the one lap, but he was having absolutely none of it. He ignored them for Frank and gave him a show. Such a nice moment. Respect.
