vargas was JAKCED in that fight

This fight and the lead up to it is one of the best fights ever.

It's no coincidence Jr was so good. He had A plus trainers in his Dad and uncle.

he meant coming up when he did. Vargas was a bit after Oscar and yea he did lose to Tito but had Tito almost out when Tito started low blowing him to buy time to recover. Tito was smart, dirty, but smart.

Vargas was moved to fast imo.

Trinidad made him damaged goods even tho he was dirty with them low blows

He really did taught him to be more defensive and it helped. Im surprised oscar wasnt taught the shoulder roll extensively

2 years or a year and a half. But yes Vargas was damaged goods already. In his comeback fight six months after Tito beat him Vargas was knocked down on a punch ✊ that he could not see. You can tell that Tito fight took a lot out of him.

I always like Oscar with alcazar that’s when he was knocking every one out

Oscar fought everybody! Still think he beat Mayweather!

The punch stat showed Mayweather dominated him. Oscar kept hitting gloves, elbows and fresh air more than anything.

Oscar was never fast enough to use that pernell Whitaker style Floyd Sr. taught him

Also the Mayweather style is not a punchers style. It's a defensive style. Oscar was a semi flat-footed puncher looking to ko his opponent like a sniper.

Vargas was not undefeated i think Trinidad had ko him a couple fights before this one

He calls Mayweather Sr. "his best trainer he ever had", while he completely ignores Robert Alcazar who literally got him to the pros and got his own fighter to win a gold medal in the Olympics. Alcazar deserves more respect and appreciation in Boxing. He's a damn good coach, way better than Mayweather Sr. or Freddie Roach.

No he told Oscar to coast the last 3 rounds of the Trinidad fight which is why delahoya lost.

I believe I gave some change the other day when I was leaving 7-11
