Although very familiar with Jewish culture, I didn’t know that observant Jewish folks didn’t shake hands. Few years ago I met an observant Jewish person and extended my hand to shake his. When told that he wouldn’t touch my hand and to not get offended, I smiled and said that I understood because in my culture we greet each other with a “namaste” 🙏🏼. I saw him again a few months later and he called out to me saying “Namaste 🙏🏼.” I thought it was so wonderful, thoughtful and respectful!

The thing that we tend to forget that there's so much in common when it comes to religions....as a Muslim we commanded to believe in all religions and all prophets without distinguishing them from each other " as long as it's practiced peacefully and respectfully".....and I found so much sense in what they spoke about in terms of the scarcity of the marriage and the sexual boundaries....all the respect 🙏

I love when he says he was looking for a kind person - not a professor. Look for character not externals. Externals change, character does not.

Yo Rabbi and Rabbi's wife, that was truly expiring and insightful and all that! I believe that what y'all was saying is the secret to happy marriage! Once when a young lady was axed if she "liked" a young man that she was dating and answered that she had the same love for him as any other jewish person the Menachem Mendel Rebbe said . . . “For a husband, you have to have more than basic love of a fellow Jew.” well this rabbi wife seems to have that, if you axed me.

It's fascinating listening to them, because they really believe in what they say and they look very happy. But I also know that my life was very different and there are many different ways to be happy in marriage: I 've been happily married for 21 years and neither of us believe in God or verginity before marriage. And taking away physical contact with other human beings from me would be like killing me, even though I have never thought for one second that I could betray my husband. But hugging my friends of both genders in times of distress isn't certainly a sexual act, but simply an act of kindness.

I met this couple many years ago at their Yom Kippur service in a hotel. It was my husband’s first time making it through the service without leaving. They are something special. Truly wonderful neshamas. We’ve now become Baal tshuva, but they gave us our first good taste of true chassidus.

Thank you for this video. After 28 years years (I'm 38) I decided to convert. I've wanted to since I was 10. I'm worried that I chose the wrong "type", if you will (reform). I'm very conservative and I like following the rules for G-d, but no one really even shows up to Shabbat! Am I being stupid? Or did I not do enough research first? Every time I research a question it's like taking one step forward and twit steps back; I wind up with more things I want to know than I began with!

I don't entirely share the same opinion as you, that marriage comes first and then love; but what I do agree with is that love most certainly grows daily in marriage .. and that intimacy is more special - deeper, and overall incredible - in marriage. I believe intimacy outside of marriage cannot compare to intimacy within marriage. Another thing .. non-Jewish people just don't go around kissing and hugging every woman or man that we see, as your absolutely beautiful wife suggested. We do hug and/or kiss those we love and care about, of course .. but there are certainly lines drawn, for most people, as to whom gets shown our affection in that way. In marriage, loyalty is paramount, and our affection toward our spouse should be held in the most high regard than toward any other relationship or person. There is absolutely no wiggle-room whatsoever where that is concerned.
