Yall This is my go to ant killer. I had ant beds for years and my neighbor never cared to the point where I started going in his yard and putting it on the ant bed myself. My last year living there a large and I mean large pile came in the summer. I had been there for 7 years. Why did I watch the worker ants dumping it out of the pile. Me and the kids were in shock and amazed. I wished I would have recorded it but its like they recognized it and went into defense mode to ensure the powder did not get inside. I had to get a stick and poke deep because they were picking the powder up and dumping it. Nature is amazing I swear!

My experience with fire ant killing products is almost all of them seem to kill the mound....by the next day that mound is dormant, but what occurs is they just move over 2 feet and rebuild because these products don't seem to get the queen. Would love to see this applied to a yard..wait a day or so and see if they just relocate like they normally do. Only about 25% of the time when I apply( whatever brand name) does it seem to actually get rid of the colony.

If you have crazy ants, I bought Intice 10 granules and sprinkled some near them. They immediately started carrying off the little white granules to their nest. I came back to check on them a couple of hours later - GONE!

I bought Orthene and tried it out, have been using it for a couple of years now. It did as you show, next day THAT hill is dead. BUT what I have discovered is that within 2 or 3 days later they just pop up in a NEW MOUND a few feet away. You'll just keep chasing them around the yard. Very disappointed... :(

Is this ideal for ants inside the house? I only have a general idea where they are coming from so I wouldn't know if sprinkling this on the side of my wall is smart or safe.

I use Orthene. I would have used much more than you did. I may have killed that nest, but probably not. They move. You have to continue finding where they moved. If you stay on them you will eventually get the upper hand and wipe them out.........for a while. Their buddies will soon follow.

I accidentally dumped half of that bottle on a 2 foot wide mound. Oops.

Yes I hate it! I think I'm going to get mothballs to put around yard to mask the smell. I'd rather smell mothballs balls than the ortho stuff.

this product kills mounds but it's just one step in a treatment strategy. You need to use a long lasting granule that you apply with a fertilizer spreader in addition to this product.

Dont do what i did and open it in your kitchen. I had to pull out my shop fan into my back door to air the room out😅

Funny when some do not read the instructions and then complain that it does not work for them.

@@joesproductreviews3429 after using the product. I dig into the mound and I don’t see any bodies in the dirt. But the. I’ll see a new mound 25 feet from the old one.
