    For April Fool's Day, I'd love to see a video of Camera Lady going through the Beastie Room talking about her favorite spiders, with you doing the video taping - the old switcheroo. Honestly, she has such an amazing talent for getting the best shots and knowing what the audience wants to see, all the while making it look effortless. You are so amazing with all you do and all you know, and Camera Lady makes it a visual delight to watch it all. 🥰

    Another great video, Dave and Mrs Camera Lady! These egg sac removals are indeed one of my favorite theme of videos that you do! It feels like Christmas when you have an egg sac to open. It is like you are unwrapping a gift! Very exciting! Please keep them up! Good luck with your new yules! I must add, I came across a video from another KZreadr who did an unboxing of t's purchased from you! I assure you, good sir, that your praises were sang many times and with detailed explanations as to how terrific your packaging is. So, your wisdom and experience and education is extended through your customer in the video. I know that the education of caring for these wonderful creatures is a passion and monumental to your platform. Just thought you would be interested to know this if you hadn't already. Thanks and praise from Peterborough Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 ♥️ your pal, Amanda

    I can't wait to see how the babies do. You are a good example of husbandry. You care take the fruit of the world, not exploit it. So happy to have found this channel. I don't watch other spider channels because the presenters are not careful and treat their spiders like toys.

    I hope you found the "egg with legs" that you left on the desk. As for rehousing that spider; maybe some clay balls and a membrane this time? I think adding some water is probably a good idea; but, with a spider that burrows so deep, keeping her off the bottom of the enclosure (and out of any standing water) might be a good idea...

    18:15 There’s a tiny mite Dave that scoots across the bad egg, right around the front from low left up towards the centre and then into a gap - I doubt you’d even see it without zooming in, but there’s definitely additional life in there, it’s literally the size of a 1/3 of a tiny leg - but it’s defying gravity and propelling itself - I wouldn’t have the first clue as to it’s origin? 18:25 you see it reappear at the tip of the tongs. I’d call that perfect timing I think - I barely thought you’d make double figures at first. Nicely done! Excellent camera work or I’d never have spotted that ‘whatever’ it was - I hope you see it and can tell what it was. 👍❤️

    Hello Dave and Camera Lady. I hope this finds you well. I was wondering if this sack felt wet inside of it? It certainly wasn’t the pretty white color you usually see. It was quite dirty. I agree with Camera Lady’s “ewwww!” 😂. Was this her first sack? Could that have made a difference along with the water? Just pondering. Anyway, thank you for the video. It was lovely seeing how delicately you handled those little guys Dave. You are more gentle than you think. Take care of each other and have a wonderful week.❤❤❤

You say in many of your videos is that once the males final molt that's when they get there emboli, do the females have a final molt as well? Is that how you tell they are mature? Or do the females keep growing and molting and that's why the females always dwarf the males in just about all the species I've seen you do so far? assuming they are not springtails; mites found within the hobby/captivity are typically harmless, and only break down already decaying organic matter. there are a few parasitic mites specific to tarantulas, those occurrences are found in the wild.

    What are the creepy crawlies on the EWLs? Some are very very small, some are springtail-ish sized. I see some of the tiny ones walking across the pantyhose material. I'm watching this on a pretty big tv and they're very obvious. Could they have got mites? Glad you got some! Always like watching you pull egg sacs, but I prefer seeing cameralady do the sorting! 😉

  • @ithulah

    @ithulah

    @@SithMami There's quite a few different species of springtails, they come in different colours and sizes, and since Dave gets a lot of stuff from the wild he could feasibly have quite small springtails.... But some just seemed very small, maybe too small, plus more oval, not elongated like springtails. Either way there shouldn't have been anything inside the egg sac itself.

    Great stuff! I noticed a very small bug crawling around inside the egg sack when you opened it, as well as when you briefly examined the empty sac. What is it? Could this tiny bug (or bugs) be the reason for the dead eggs or was its appearance the result of the eggs dying?

    Do you know of a reputable spider dealer in Europe? Do you sell outside of the UK? How long can they survive in shipping? I'm from Italy, and I would love to get another spider at some point, without depending on reptile conventions. Thank you as always for the amazing insight on the hobby. I always thought cleaning these was Camera Ladies job Dave have you stolen her job today? It seems like you pulled it in time to get a decent clutch at least how many were there in the end? A question at about 17.55 in when Dave has just wiped his hands and is trying to seperate the eggs with legs from a large group of bad eggs I am pretty sure I saw a tiny white mites of some type wandering on a dead eggs at the front of the shot and again after he is seperating snother so do bad egg sacs get invaded by micro beasties?

    Do you, or have you ever had a Grammastola actaeon? I know husbandry of species in a common genus is usually similar but I'm not seeing a lot of info on these in particular. My first T was a G. pulcripes that we got as a juvie that eventually matured out male and a couple of years ago I got a G. pulcra sling that unfortunately didn't survive so my experience with Grammastolas have been hit or miss. There's an exotics expo coming through next month and I'm wanting to try to find an actaeon if they have one or try another pulcra if they don't. Any advice you've got would be most welcome. Thanks 🤘
