@@sarptoygar9899 I have to disagree. Due to injuries Okur wasn't able to quite live up to his capabilities so as a result Turkoglu objectively ended up being the better overall player. Now if you said Okur would have been better had he not gotten so injured so much then I would have to agree with you.

More like Toni Kukoc of Turkey
You can tell he is still very liked and missed in Orlando and it makes me proud as a Turkish person.
One of the simplest smooth shot release I have seen in the NBA. A power forward height with shooting guard skill.

Facts. He was Lethal. Once they Double Dwight in the Paint. Kick it out to Hedo. Money. Every time.
In retrospect I think Hedo really had one of the most underrated careers when we look at how the NBA transitioned to three point shooting. Hedo never averaged beloe league average (35%) from three and in his career high seasons between 2007-2009 he shot at or above the 40% mark. When we look at all-time deadly shooters I think he deserves some recognition.
@MrFrankello

he was not underrated actually. everybody knew in the league since from the sac days he is a great talent. but he is lazy as fuck and didnt take care of his body , didnt utilize any diet to get leaner. and he never liked physicality and defense. if he was a bit more professional he could ve been solid star in a team who knew how to use him and he could ve made more money.

@@MrFrankello I'm from Turkey and I know him from when he was 18. He used to be lean and more vertical but as the genius NBA managers always do, they made him gain weight because they thought he'd be weak. They did this to Kukoç, too.

Modeled his game after Kukoč and Pippen
He was a former teammate and about the same height, which probably had a big influence on Blake Griffin. Great Point Forward
He was such a clutch player at his peak. You have all these players who averaged much better stats in their careers. But if you look closely, many are stat padding with high ball usage and when the game are already won. Then you had Hedo who was basically delivering in these high pressure q4 moments constantly. But he barely did anything at all if his team was already winning by a big margin.

Hedo would be so good in todays game
Man! That 08-09 Magic team was so close to winning it all. Courtney Lee missing that game winning layup in Game 2, Jameer Nelson giving up easy 3s to Derek Fisher in Game 4. That 4-1 Lakers win doesn't do justice to how close the Magic were to winning the title.
Hedo and I live in the same neighborhood Bayrampaşa yıldırım street. There are literally 3 nba players who came from that street in half a mile radius I don't know if there is a street like that. Also He would also visit us the national youth teams which many of us came also from that street. One time I remember at u15 level we had 5 people on that team including me. I always tell basketball is in our bloods. I can count countless pros from the street and Hedo was our guy. I remember we watched his games at 5 am in the playoffs and he would never let us down

Giving less to a star at the peak of their career while offering 50% more to another whose career is on the decline... This must be a unique example of poor management. After the 2009 finals, I had believed that the Magic organization would make critical moves to propel the team to the top. Then came the ingenious move from the management, replacing the most critical player, number 15, with another. This disrupted the perfect momentum of a well-functioning machine. I think the moment they decided to replace Hedo with Vince Carter was when Orlando was at its strongest since the Penny-Shaq era, and from that moment on, Magic couldn't reach that level again.
