Imagine this player, great shooter, but he can't play defense, like worst than a cone. Not athletic, cannot jump cannot dunk not fancy, cannot crossover, cannot lock down nobody. And he's black? You think he can make it to NBA? He won't even be on Dukes third team for sure. But if you white you'll be JJ. Have a mile now and make fun of all the legends

I had a friend that used to work for the Warriors and he would occasionally get me tix to the games. After the game was over the only fans that were allowed to stay were friends and family of said players. I believe you needed to be on a list and have a pass to show security. It was a cool moment because most players were chilled afterwards and you could get a pic/autograph. Obviously this was done after the players would interact with friends & family and just before they went back to the locker room. The Orlando Magic were in town and JJ was in his rookie year. Since I didn’t know any players personally, my buddy put me on JJ’s friends & family list. I thought I would get in trouble but he said to me “you could pass for his brother (not because we look alike, but because we’re both white). Besides no one (security) is going to check with him to see if he knows you.” Sure enough I was able to stay afterwards and met some players not named JJ Redick. Thank you, JJ!

@MrJeremyCuddles Magic and Bird were not equals. Magic went into Boston and put an end to that talk when he ruined the Celtics title hopes with a baby skyhook lmao Magic was arguably the greatest player ever before MJ surpassed him in that championship series. Larry Bird was not on Magic's level.
