Just ordered mine today I’m naming him Shaman Gul’dan because it’s cool (yes it is a reference to World of Warcraft)

To save some money you can buy a box of Gretchin and just use the Runtherd as your Weirdboy. Even if you want a runtherd or two as characters chances are you'll end up with a spare considering how useful little units of grots are just now. The thing to remember is that basically the Weirdboy is just an ork with a magic stick. The Runtherd comes with a couple of stick options. Just paint a glow effect for his eyes and mount him on 40mm base and you've got a fat surly-looking psyker. Personally I use an old Warhammer Fantasy Orruk Boarboyz Shaman (the small, metal, toothless one with the boar's head hood) and a converted Weirdnob from AoS as my Weirdboys, though I have been keeping my eyes out for other AoS Orruks like the Wurrgog Prophet and the Wardoc. I use an cheap ebay purchased Warchanter for my Wurrboy. I just swapped his head for a Flashgit's head with a cybernetic eye to indicate where his gaze attack originates from.

I think we are probably going to see plastic Weirdboy in 10th ed for Orks

Man this kit really needs a remake, orks are in a werid stage rn because half there models are brand new...when the other half is old as dirt. In my mind i think the nobz, weirdboy, and maddoc grotsnik need new minis really bad

15 GBP for a 30 year old fine cast model is terrible.

It is a very nice looking model, but the fact you call those 3 tiny sprus for 18 pounds "fantastic" shows how much you have been abused by GW

No abuse here at all, sorry to hear you feel that way. I question why you are still here wasting your time watching any vids that feature GW products with that view. Might be best for you to leave the hobby to pursue one which adheres to your personal budget of under £18 for a ‘very nice looking model’.

@@Sup3rSaiy3n I just got into it, I collected the OG fantasy Warhammer when I was a kid, so far in the last few months I haven't been able to bring myself to buy any more than a couple starter kits, the commander and the recruit so I can play and teach my friends. But its not an accessible game, and I'm used too biting the bullet and buying board games and such so that we have new and interesting games to play, also I'm a former MTG player so I know what a greedy manipulative publisher looks like. Warhammer is a great game and I love the painting of the hobby, but you can not defend the insanely exorbitant prices, even the damn rulebooks like. I wasn't attacking you, but your defensiveness of GW says so much.

@@desecrationfly Bruh. Are you seriously upset that he's happy with his purchase? Here's the thing - Warhammer has *never* been cheap, and at the end of the day, people will either decide that the price of the hobby is fair to them and will invest in it, or that it isn't and they won't. Whining about the cost to people who have zero say in the matter isn't going to somehow make it less expensive, nor will insulting those who spend their own money as they see fit cause them to change their perspective.
