It's a pity ETA don't make movements in a variety of sizes. Typically they're 25 mm in diameter which makes them look small inside most watch cases.

The ratchet wheel that had some teeth sheared off, did you replace it from a doner movement or did you have to order a new one?

I ordered a new one, as well as a new ratchet screw (the screw was sheared off and part of it was inside the arbor!)

@@jesusthewatchmaker I've heard it's a common failure on these. I think it can be avoided by hand-winding only minimally, and if the case has a screw-down crown it's a bonus if the crown & stem allow you to screw down the crown without winding the watch.

Thanks for the video. Who manufactured your watch cleaning machine? Where are you located? Thanks!!!

Thank you for watching! The machine is an Auto-cleaner 101 made by Fuji Denshi Kogyo (usually known as "The Seiko Machine" ). I am based on the UK.

That Sellita looks identical as ETA 2824-2... It's weird...

Yes. The Sellita SW200.1 is considered the main competitor to ETA’s 2824-2 workhorse and it can be considered a clone.

Ha, so I'm not the only one who puts the movement in a plastic prison when dealing with springs. They all dream of space travel.
