The first fractal I ever saw was a 2D Mandelbrot, it was on a DEC Rainbow computer with an 8088 processor. Back then it took several days just to render that. These blow me away, an infinity ----> zero.

kOOma YO, in a few years, real time very high resolution mandelbulb computations will be quite affordable. If you manage to obtain one of those "flight simulator" rides from a fare or a flight museum, you could build your own Mandelbulb Space Ship and fly around to your heart's content. [You could start with 3d glasses, or a dark room with a projector, guided by a joystick.] May you have great flights.

I feel like this would be a secret minecraft dimension from the 2020 April fools update, that is... if the cubic chunks mod was an ingame feature and not a mod.

Imagine this with VR, where and how can I render it?

A legend says this is built in minecraft

Start at 4:20 and watch how the darkness in the background gives rise to a sexy half spider half human monstrosity that stares into your soul... but wait there's more as you keep looking at the darkness you will see that it will continue to morph itself into a giant spider ready to devour you as it sucks you into its gnawing mouth haha.

dsfsdafds f esrsefsef Awesome man! That's absolutely correct btw! She does appear to sit at the core of a giant spaceship. The mandelbrot has some interesting features besides this spider. It has what appears to be a spherical core of a spaceship in the heart section of the mandelbrot and has what can only be described as a giant tetrahadron quantum calculator in the head section.

Really really awesome. Theres probably a reason why not but the zoom speed is much slower than I’d like to see. Would enjoy exploring more in the same amount of time. Just some feedback if you’re open to it.

Too bad this very pretty creation is not in 1080p HD! The sharpness is not good and there is some 'shaking' in the image. In 1080p 60fps (HD), it would have been magical..

Hello, that's true, but my ancient computer took several weeks to calculate this animation 10 years ago. Something like this would certainly be possible today with a higher resolution using a modern computer.

Star Sound Voyager hi, how many frames per second u made the render? and left at 50 frames the transition between each movement?ask because right now i'm doing a rendering and is taking longer than usual. excellent work !!!

silistar Hi, i did much more than 50 frames between each movement sometimes about 650 and more, so the animation is very slow at 30 fps.
