Connor, I think the format today that didn't hew to "five things you need to know" worked well.

The Suarez experiment is over. He was a nice story but they can't possibly expect him to play a major role other than an emergency starter/middle reliever. They must make moves for more pitching unless they plan on winning multiple AAA championships which nobody cares about. Kjerstad needs to be in the lineup for a while and Cowser needs to sit. I don't think anybody on this team whiffs more on off-speed pitches in the zone than Cowser. He has lived off his hot April for almost two months now. His sub-600 OPS since the hot start doesn't justify his playing time.

As an Astros fan; I think y’all can win the WS this year as currently constructed. But I think you’re at the point now where you gotta start pushing the chips all in, trade some of that excessive position player talent and go get yourself a stud arm rental. You got a fun group, if my Astros don’t make the playoffs I’m rooting for y’all!

We have no consistent power hitter in airline up.We have no-hitters that are even close to hitting 300 and stood at driving in runs.The whole line up strikes out two or three times a game

Yes, we know there are some issues, however, this is a long stretch of games. Very little rest. Bunch of travel in the heat going to play hard teams. It’s all about context. The O’sgonna be fine.

They need to figure out the pitching. The pitching was great but it's quickly falling apart with the injuries. The offense is what they have always been. They are either hot or cold. Nothing in between. They were hot before the Astros and just like a light switch they went straight to cold.

In our side we are saying we got lucky game 1. The new pitches worked out but that 7 run inning felt like “here we loose again” Montero is an overpaid train-wreck

As little faith that I have in Montero, he really should have gotten out of that without an earned run. With 2 outs in the inning and 2 strikes on the batter the umpires fucked up a check swing call where the batter failed to check his swing by quite a bit but the 1B umpire missed it. That led to a RBI double and 2 run home run. Nick Martinez should not have been in the game for that long, but Espada REALLY didn't want to use more pitchers

Montero has been much better this year compared to last. His contract though is absurd, it’s almost as bad as Jose Abreu’s

Orioles would have easily swept the Astros if they had played in April or May but as an Astros fan, hope y’all win the east.

"Not quite the time to panic"?? Irvin and Suarez have turned back into pumpkins. Beyond the poop tossing Pavich there is nothing in the way of pitching prospects in the system. Nothing. Now, watch the majority of the organizational talent the rebuild made possible quickly wither away in the unrelenting pursuit of pitching. Burnes, let's not forget, is a one year rental. Lack of farm system pitching will be Elias' achilles heel.
