There's been a few games this year that the orioles have found a way to lose. This is a prime example. A guy is trying to bunt but we get too cute with pitching to him and he ends up getting a double. Adley gets a single but hits it too hard and Urias has a hurt foot so he doesn't score. Then we hit into a double play. Sunday was one of the most frustrating games of the year so far.
Mounty's AB in the 8th was a head scratcher. It was situational hitting at its worst. You don't swing at a FIRST pitch around your knees in that situation. I know he's a good low ball hitter but still you can't swing at a pitch that low when you're trying to hit a flyball to the outfield to at least tie the game. And it's about time Hyde sat Cowser. Hope he sits him again tonight and let Hays play for a couple weeks. Lots of guys have a good month in the big league then disappear after the league adjusts. So far Cowser simply hasn't shown that he can hit off-speed stuff after he was the Rookie of the Month in April.

Also, no mention of Mullins striking out with runnwrs on 2nd and 3rd. Could've pitch hit Stowers. Everyone knew that we were not going to score at that point.

The save isn't always in the 9th inning. Hyde could've used Kimbrel to relieve Tate and let Coulombe pitch the 9th. Unfortunately, modern managers are virtually incapable of using the closer anywhere other than a traditional save situation. Also, why is Thyago Vieira still on this roster if he's not going to be used? Particularly during this brutal stretch.....
