Thanks for such a detailed explanation. Very good informative video. This video must be shared with New (Lady) drivers using AMT cars. I do sudden Manual downshift on high slopes with curves to gain better control and reduce body roll. This also reduces the stress of Hard Breaking. Does this cause any damage to the gear box / engine? Another question: I often does Wheel Alignment at every 4500 kms. Last time I did wheel balancing & alignment at MRF. Still my left back tyre started wearing out. After 4500 kms again they did wheel balancing and alignment and also tyre rotation. I noticed that one tyre was replaced INSIDE facing Outward. They said this was done to balance wearing. I raised concerns over insurance claims incase some accidents happens. As we need to take photos from the accident site. Insurance guys will spot such mistakes also. Question: why do tyres wear out even after such caring is given? Is it some mistakes made by technician while fixing tyre after wheel balancing that lead to tyre wearing out?

My experience is AMT is good for normal roads but not for high ranges where there are lot of ups and downs. It keeps on changing gears from 1st and 2nd which is very annoying and lagging. Very frustrating to drive at hilly areas with peak ups and downs. Otherwise amt is a good choice.

Use manual mode riding on high ranges. I always use manual mode in amt on long rides that also give more mileage to me.

Some of the automatic cars do not allow you to switch off the engine in drive or riverse gear positions. You can switch it off only in Park (P) position - this is true for the majority of automatic cars.

It is very much ideal to have a DSG or similar dual clutch system than AMT to enjoy the driving even at high ranges with hill assist mode, and I do enjoy the same with Skoda DSG after being experienced AMT, which on a steep road when applied Riverse would move forward with no hesistance.

Could you please help me on this query. Is there a way in an AMT vehicle to set the Idle start and stop functionality to work only when we put the gear in Neutral mode. I am asking this because in some unwanted conditions the vehicle's idle start and stop is working while we we stop for a moment in the traffic.

I am using xuv 300 amt. There is a button to disable the start- stop function if not wanted. My experience is that it is annoying and create problems in heavy bumber to bumber traffic.

When you fully press the accelerator, the vehicle will shift to second gear to provide more power, which is useful for situations like overtaking. However, if you do not require that much power, pressing the accelerator halfway will result in the vehicle only shifting down one gear, allowing for a less aggressive acceleration. I dnt think what he said is right about parking in D or R mode. I had an AMT transmission earlier (Celerio) and i used to have jerking issues. When i checked with Maruti, they said I should not park the car in any gear but Neutral (N) as in any other mode, clutch gets engaged while parking and that kind of reduces the clutch life faster and save the car from jerking issues.

Gear change ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ , അഥവാ റിവേഴ്സ് and drive mode അങ്ങോട്ടും ഇങ്ങോട്ടും change ആക്കുമ്പോൾ ، ടക് ടക് എന്നൊരു സൗണ്ട് അടിയിൽ നിന്ന് വരുന്നു. ഷോപ്പിംഗ് മാളിലൊക്കെയുള്ള basement പാർക്കിംഗിൽ ഒക്കെ ആണെങ്കിൽ, ഗ്ലാസ്സ് താഴ്തിയാൽ സൗണ്ട് കൂടുതൽ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ കേൾക്കാം. എന്താണ് കാരണം?

Now many AMT cars come with "Hill assist" feature, which stops the rolling back of cars on hills for 3/4 secs, allowing the driver to take his foot off the brake pedal and press the accelerator! No need to use the hand brake.

@@bhaskarkayarat707 ya bro but just owned 1st gen spresso it doesn't have hill hold but new model have hill hold and electronic mirrors... So I just mean that for cars which do not have hill hold feature...

ഒരു സത്യം പറയട്ടെ നിങ്ങൾക്ക് ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് വണ്ടി ഓടിക്കാൻ അറിയില്ല..... 1. നിങ്ങൾ ഇടത്‌ കാൽ കൊണ്ടാണ് ബ്രേക്ക് ചവിട്ടുന്നത്. വലതു കാൽ കൊണ്ടാണ് ബ്രേക്കും ആക്‌സിലറേറ്ററും ചവിട്ടേണ്ടത്. ഇടതുകാൽ എപ്പോഴും ഫ്രീ ആയിരിക്കും. 2. പാർക്കിങ് മോഡിൽ ആണ് വണ്ടി നിർത്തിയിടേണ്ടത്. ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടില്ല എന്നറിയാം ക്ഷമിക്കുക.

Ragesh പറഞ്ഞത് മാരുതി യുടെ മാത്രം കാര്യങ്ങള് ആണോ. ഞാൻ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത് MG HECTOR PLUS ആണ്. ഇത് P ഇൽ ആണ് എൻജിൻ ഓഫ് ചെയ്യുക. കൂടാതെ ഓട്ടോമാറ്റിക് brake system ഉണ്ട്. എൻജിൻ ഓഫ് ചെയ്യുക എന്നത് P ഇൽ മാത്രം ആണ്. ഈ വാഹനത്തിന് ഉപകാരം ചെയ്യുന്ന നല്ല ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ട കാര്യങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടെങ്കിൽ പറയൂ.
