I got a good chuckle when you said the score for the original Seeed version would be in the positives, only to hear how low it actually still was. Technically positive, sure, but just barely! lol! But let me make a couple of corrections on some things you were mistaken about in your review of the Feuerschwanz cover: First, it's not actually longer than the original. The reason the running time of the Feuerschwanz video was longer was because of the very reasons you pointed out during your reaction portion: The Napalm Records logo at the start and the credit for the music video production along with the previews for other Napalm music videos at the end. Those slipped your mind when you got to the review portion. Second, that means that Melissa Bonny's part was not an addition or an invention of the cover. Melissa was handling the re-imagining of the English Rap part that also came in at the bridge of Seeed's original. Even though I figured ahead of time that the Seeed original was most likely not going to be your cup of tea, I still thought it was worth having you see it first to at least have as a frame of reference before checking out the Feuerschwanz cover. Your personal taste obviously shaped your scores, but it's appreciated that you still tried to be objective as you can when talking about the original version of "Ding." It's nice that you at least try to make some kind of an effort to do that in your reviews.

The third verse was in the SEEED original too (even in English like in the Feuerschwanz version), but apart from the language there wasn't much difference to the rest of the song. Having Melissa sing it definitely makes it memorable.

when the song was originally released we had a pretty warm summer in a rather stable time here in central Europe, the song which german lyrics manage to bring the exact right amount of swagger to hit the zeitgeist. feuerschwanzes version is a pretty random pop-metal cover that tries to but fails to deliver the same feeling. maybe because times have changed, and it only speaks to a weird nostalgia.

Feuerschwanz makes this way more fun. Always partial to some rap/hiphop styling mixed with Metal. Falling Reverse e.g. Always fun!

With a bit more metal everthing sounds better ;)

Yeah, I didn't like the SEEED original as well (and I'm German :-)) Feuerschwanz and Melissa turned this song into something very enjoyable.

The original I really found the song to be very repetitive and the vocals were pretty bad and overall just lacked energy, the cover is much better

I deleted my original comment in the translator because you clearly have a "negative" attitude towards "German reggae", for whatever reason?! German is difficult enough in normal daily use but to create a "Caribbean feeling" with a language that is best used in "heavy metal"....! you've probably had too much "TILL LINDEMANN and RAMMSTEIN" in the past........! ! ! ;)))

My native language is German, and I find these songs awkward.( always have) Not even Melissa can save this for me.

Just a recalling fact: The one who sang the third verse in the original is also the singer featured on Emigrate's "Eat you alive" I like Seeed, though I like the one singer's solo stuff better. Feuerschwanz are usually fun but not always to my taste, yet in this instance I like their cover better.
