If I had 20 Million dollars, I'd BUY THE WHOLE BUILDING & make it look EXACTLY like the set complete with Mellvills Restaurant upstairs. Who wouldn't want to sit in Norm's seat? *If you build it...they WILL come.*

@Anifco67 - *Me too actually.* I would open a huge-modern food kitchen with *fresh food* we mostly grow ourselves. My metropolis is full of poverty-pimps like Union Gospel Mission that made $7 million profit in 2015 while serving 100% donated frozen processed food & kool-aid to the poor. They are still doing it & making millions. I would also *secretly* ground all our Transformers. My city is right on the Coast(in an Earthquake zone) & the Elites have left us vulnerable by NOT grounding them. Scientist have been saying we are due for a BIG one any time. If that happened right now, over 2 million people would be devastated & without power for months.

They should've found a way to remodel it to match the show imo.

@@yucchhiiowwee The original bar is too small and fact is the show is more popular than the actual bar itself so naturally the bar should have remodeled after the show.

Rick Dangerous ....The original bar would not be able to remodel after the show, given the building it is in. The producers could have modelled the set to look the same only on a larger scale, that would have been easier.

They did but it is the upstairs bar which was remodeled exactly like Cheers called the set bar

This video came into my suggested and I had to watch it. I used to work there in the 90"s and boy was it fun. Met so many celebrities, including the entire cast of the show, and athletes. Great place to work back then. They changed it up a bit as the upstairs used to be part of the Hampshire House(Melvilles on the show) and was only used as Cheers/Bull & Finch overflow during the busy summer months. There was a smaller bar and more tables in that room back then. A few things you missed. There is a back room, complete with bar and tables, down the hallway passed the gift shop in the hallway. At 3:55 of your video you see a woman walk out of the back room. Also, at 5:38 of your video you focus on a picture of the cast and a gentleman. He is Tom Kershaw, the owner of the Bull & Finch/Cheers. He owns the entire building and actually lives on the top two floors of the building. It looks like you had fun. Good video, it brought back a lot of memories.

Man I didn't know they had an upstairs when I went! I went like 10 years ago. :(

The wife and I went to Boston a couple years ago to do some sight seeing. Great town! Cheers has always been one of the things on my bucket list and I was finally able to mark it off when we went out there. I was surprised to see how small the Cheers bar in the basement on Beacon Street actually was. The wait staff was great and the food was the typical bar food. Still good though. There's another Cheers location a short distance away from the one on Beacon Street in which is modeled after the television set. This was an even better location. I was able to sit in the same seat that George Wendt (Norm) sat in when he visited the bar several years before. Anyway, Cheers was a highlight to our Boston trip. Great time there and hope to go back.

due to political circumstances, this is number one on my bucket list now

Was a big fan of Cheers as a kid,good stuff man.

I just started watching Cheers and would love to visit here if the world ever goes back to normal.

Question: the show is inspired by the original bar. Was that bar already called "Cheers" and did they had already the famous logo before the show!

Yes.. That's the extent of the inspiration. The outside signage and stairs and name. The inside is nothing like what the show bar was. Reason is obviously due to it being a multi camera sitcom. They need a lot of room and open space to film.

Well the bar was originally called the Bull & Finch Pub, and they hung the flag at 1:41 to let people know this was the basis for the Cheers show. The Cheers street signs at 1:58 were invented for the show, weren't they? But they didn't hang there until after the show ended? The original street sign for Bull & Finch hung there, which was moved inside as seen at 3:23 behind the door.

ShutUpYouDon'tKnowItAll Theres a pub in Melbourne called the Retreat hotel. They shot the Sullivan's there. The show ran for 10+ years. Not every scene like Cheers though
