This is some solid automotive journalism Tedward! I can’t wait to start doing some reviews like this when the weather gets warmer!
Oh my, I love the E30 series...it's such a class act!
Loving the blue interior, they need to make a comeback!

Hey Nick! I’m a huge fan! I took over my mom’s (1 owner) 1986 325e. I’ve actually been driving it since brand new when I was a teenager. If I shoot a vid, will you watch and comment? It’s all stock with the exception of the upgraded BBS wheels (I have the original bottle cap wheels), 4 doors, and automatic 😞. 128k original miles.
love the blue interior!
One of my favorite vids you've done. Great video!
I had this exact car. 86, 325e. Loved it.
Love the shout-out to Professor Norton. This is a great one Tom
That's a really valuable car today, it really is a gem.

How valuable?? I have one. With Covid devastating aftermath i may to sell.
I have a 86 325e and hand on heart it puts a smile on my face every time I take it out. Yes it lacks the zing on a I or IS but the low reving power ban lets you soak in every last rev. Great video you just got yourself a subscriber 👌🏻

There's nothing that says Respect the Drive, more than Respect Your Elders! Love e30's, on the car bucket list. Didn't know about the four bar arm rest, super cool.
Love your enthusiasm!
@ 1:57 nice smooth delivery of the tech specs of the car. Hopefully you'll be able to do more of the old school models. E34's, 38's so many out there!
Holy cow! I'm watching this video and think..."that looks like Blair TN!', and then you turn at Blair and start down the road toward what used to be the K25 plant, paralleling the railroad line I've ridden many times in the past. You should shoot a second video on White Wing Road. Awesome curvy BMW road if ever there was one! Like I tell my friends, you can't understand the attraction of the E30 until you drive one, and then you're hooked. I've got two of them. A 1985 325e and a 1987 324is.LOVE EM!
Nice! A friend owned a 325e, too. With 550'000 km (around 330'000 miles) . First Engine, but many rust...
I’m the 2nd owner of a1985? BMW 325 e. Same car 🚘 as this except mine is red and unfortunately automatic. Hugs the road perfectly and fun to drive and be seen driving. Only complaint is breaking takes effort and maintenance is very very expensive and In 2021 they do require a moderate amount of maintenance. Mine is cherry 🍒 ! I’m very proud.
Man I got one of these for $800 in college. I loved that car. Did so many skids in it.
That car looks so ahead of its time
finally something I can relate to
It's pretty rare to get rear head rests! interesting blue interior.
Nothing better than blue leather interior.
I like the car it's pretty awesome it's in really good shape and the seats are awesome I love that color.
Great content, made me nostalgic for my old 1988 528e, same engine and same driving dynamics except in a lager saloon. My very first time driving a BMW was as a 16 year old valet, parking high end German iron at summer resort hotel. Never forget my first Bavaria sedan, with its strange unadorned dashboard and amazing engine and clutch, all working in this fantastic harmony of driver and machine. I was like, holy shit, who designed this?

Growing up, my dad had a 1985 528e. He loved that car. It was so fuel efficient, even compared to the other fuel efficient Japanese cars we had in the 80s. Even tho I was about 10, my dad would me drive it out of our long driveway and I remember the clutch was so stiff compared to the other Japanese cars we had. The onboard computer was so futuristic compared to everything else at the time.
I have an 85 635csi and love it
Cool car. Just a side note, my ‘85 GTI had the multifuncion computer too. And cruise control has been around since the 1960’s at least - my dad installed it himself on our Pontiac Catalina.
Back then I hadn't noticed BMW's even existed. I was still too busy looking for my first Mustang, which I had believed was the end-all-be-all
man what do you clean and maintain your interiors with if you wouldn't mind letting me know? I have one of these that's been sitting in my driveway for 14 years and im finally pulling it out to get going... I also have a 1 previous owner owned 325e... I am the second owner of it... thanks again man and really cool video! mine is automatic and im in Australia
I love all cars of Bmw 😍
agree with everithyng especially with the headlights. my e30 had the best headlights and high beams compared to many cars and many more modern cars wich i drove. and btw great vid as always, keep up the good work!
It is my world favourite car
This calls for a night PoV, showoff those headlights!
A dealership that I work at has a 325e coupe ( they're not selling it though, it needs a new gas line and a couple other MINOR things and they'd just prefer not to mess with it ). The inside it decent and the exterior is good. I'm tempted in taking it and modifying the hell out of it. Ha
Love 240s awesome wagons
I remember the time you asked for a second generation Lexus LS is there any update now?
Would love to see a 325i e30 version!
I bought a 325 in 1986 . wish I had kept it

damn mustve been cool owning a brand new e30
miss my 86es. put 240k on it. got rid of it in 99. it's still on the road in AL.
My E30 coupe has that same interior with Hennarot exterior. Interesting color combo. My doorcards are this houndstooth pattern though. My 325 isn’t in nearly as good shape though.

Hi, I just saw your video of your driving DoctaM3's Huracan Performante and I'm sorry that this comment is off topic but i'm curious what's it like to drive a low to the ground supercar like a Huracan or another one on a road with bumps, potholes, and huge holes in road where when you accidentally ride over it, you feel the car slumping and the wheels makes this loud thump sound. How would driving low supercars feel like in a place like NYC, that's pothole and bad roads central?
@TedwardDrives
6 жыл бұрын
For me its pretty annoying. Both his Performante and Spyder have the nose lift which is great and allows you to deal with the scary bumps...But I've driven both cars on really rough roads and psychologically it can be tricky because a wrong move could be pretty expensive. That being said, the Huracan is as daily drive-able a supercar as they come (excepting the R8 and maybe some Mclarens with the hydraulic suspension). The gearbox and powertrain are great for putting along, blasting onto the highway, and not too bad in traffic. They are stiff but if you are willing to be cautious its definitely doable. NYC is asking quite a bit. Even my M3 on the parkway is gamble with the big bumps.
I had this car
I'm looking to pick up an E30 and throw an M54B30 in. Imagine this thing with ~230ish hp, all-aluminum VANOS motor that revs to 7500 (with cams & an oil pump). Yummy!
Im currently hunting for one. They're getting harder to find in semi decent, TLC condition for under 9 grand. Used to own one, an '86

Why don’t they make a simple bmw at 30k. No infotainment, no real options/ active safety. That’s my dream car. 2018 e30.
