If you use double sided wrapping paper, use the one you don't want on the outside when you start, then the end result will have the desired color or print.

Arghh I just lost what I wrote .. long story short .. THANKYOU!!! Perfect instructions. And it was the traditional kirigami bow I was looking for. I preferred to not trim my bow, instead I folded it in & then back on itself. So it sort of cascades. I have written instructions but they did not explain the 3rd step where you fold it into 1/4's .. NOW I see .. :) I can't believe how gorgeous this bow is. Paper is SO versatile & so strong .. it never ceases to amaze me. Thanks for your time & effort & sharing your talent with us. Congrats on reaching over 2mill!!? Amazing to think of all these people making these bows!!? Imagine if it was a charity event! You'd make millions ;) Thanks again :) Good luck on your endeavors 🎀

I made this bow for on a wedding gift. I did not cut the notch in the tails. I kept them the way they are. I used gift wrap to do it since I had extra. It also needed hot glue to keep it together and laying just right. It looks really nice but it took me three times as long to make it at my age and inexperience. But I am happy with it. It looks perfect. I know my niece will notice my handiwork on her gift.

I've given up on roses this is my new hope😊

It is probably because of the cutting and stuff.. some people are crazy about the 'pure origami' thing. They say if scissor and/or glue is used, it's kirigami not origami
