🇵🇭 Oriental Lily Salmon Star: Our Summer Reliable Perennial. My Summer Gardening. Buhay Amerika.
Mid- July into late summer is the period in the garden when growth is rapid but interest starts to plateau. The optimism and rampage of May and June all seem to be an after thought.
It may be a tricky time, and us gardeners, use this time to reassess, evaluate, and modify what we can do for this same time next year. Over the years, one of the reliable full-impact plants I have relied on are oriental lilies.
Today, in this video, I highlight one of the newest of its kind, that I planted back in the fall for its premier in the Acorn Hill garden.
Oriental Lily SALMON STAR.
I'll share with you its traits, how to plant, and care for this good perennial.
And I will also share with you my garden and planting secret to growing the best, most robust plants (including this lily); in any garden condition, any planting medium, and for nay garden location.

Best way to deal with them is to wipe the stamens clear of the pollen before cutting the flowers off and before placing them in the vase.. Speaking from experience here.

Grace Barnes I gave a preview on how to plant these on the video. But no worries, In the fall I will vlog on an extensive way of planting lilies, tulips and other bulbs.
The close up of the vivid color and huge flowers lured me to continue watching your video and your soothing and calming voice enticed me to watch it until the end. A good presentation with vital information on how to propagate this plant. The plant and the planter are Stars, indeed!

Mely Biyo I think eggshells are used as replacement medium instead of actual bonemeal.

Hi sir. Can you please give tips on how to prevent pests/ insects from eating our backyard organic vegetable garden? Ants/ worms / pests eat our talong/ ampalaya/ sigarilyas. There’s a lot of pesticides available but we need organically made pest/insect control solutions. Thank you! More power to this channel💪🏼
