ever run gath storm instead of scorch into less fighty more farming lanes? I typically take it into lanes I know I can't kill and they can't kill me and just play for scale but never really see anyone do the same and see everyone default to scorch. Also when s13 ori guide

It sounds like you answered your own question. Gathering storm is a great rune for scaling games, otherwise scorch gives you a little bit more presence early. Sometimes people will value that for a little bit more control in the earlier stages of the game. Min-maxing your stats is a good idea, but sometimes you want to appeal to realistic (Or even emotional) gameplay. I could get away with gathering storm every single game regardless of matchup. I can also create solo kills in my own lane or winning 2v2s just off my poke threat using scorch. As a solo laner, you want to be greedy and get as much as you can out of your laning phase. That's the fastest way to improve because you're constantly putting yourself in more complex situations. You can also just play to avoid interactions and scale, (You'll even win a lot of games doing this) but you aren't given the same opportunities to make improvements to your gameplay.

@@Zianni Yeah I'm not the best ori, I've played her mostly in dia and do better late than early on her, wish more ori content was out there as there isn't much on her and people like shok who are extremely good at her don't really post much about her. Would be nice to see more than 1-2 ori players posting as you and shok cover lots of champs but you have more content about her than he does which sucks considering he's i believe the best ori world for a time and has lots of knowledge that would be nice to have spread around and learn how more than 1 person plays the champ as you're the only person i've seen who does informative high elo ori gameplay - when you look up orianna the first like 8 vids are just you lol

Thanks for watching. I think he's mediocre purely because the skill floor is too high. A waste of effort to learn a difficult champion that has similar payoff to more enjoyable champions

Aery is more optimal for solo q if it's convenient, otherwise Phase Rush is more for heavy melee or mobility comps that you need to reposition against. It's good for escaping ganks or avoiding duels in lane. Otherwise it shines a lot more in the mid-late. You could alternatively just swap TP for ghost to keep aery but then your side laning is less consistent. IMO Aery is just best in slot for like 90% of games since you enable a more aggressive playstyle

I think it's nice to get phase rush into tanks mid, because, we can't kill them early game anyway... Too much Magic resist, HP, Shield, sustain... We just look to scale against tanks, so phase rush is a rune that scales better than aery 🥰

what is the worst matcup for orianna for you?

I dislike the Zoe, Zed and Anivia match ups the most. Everything else is enjoyable for me

You mention boots in FS but you can take free stopwatch which has more value anyways.

Magical Boots is 420g (300 base value +120g extra stats) and progresses core build Stopwatch effect is nice and contributes 250g to zhonyas. The issue is that Zhonyas is usually a bad item on most mages unless the match up or composition requires it. Its a fine alternative but usually you get more value from boot rune unless you desperately need the MS early

I honestly think she is pretty viable right now. She lacks dmg in levels 1-4/5 but if you go aery instead of phase rush you get a bit more. I think she is worth putting hours in
