Are the deep well sockets true deep wells or are they shallow broached? Couldn’t tell from the ones you handled

If you have to pick these 2 set of 3/8 SAE 28-piece and the 3/8 Metric 32-piece. Or you would pick the big one 3/8 & 1/4 SAE/Metric 106-piece. Which set you should pick the 2 small set or the big one??

@Shop Tool Reviews. Dang Tim! You really had me with that intro about the Milwaukee 10mm socket w/ONE KEY! I really could see Milwaukee doing that and some people buying them. Seriously, it's great that Milwaukee is giving customers options for their ratchet and socket sets like either regular cases (cheaper price) vs PACKOUT. In your experience, how many auto mechanics are paying more for the PACKOUT? Are they usually mobile techs? For home use? Milwaukee designed the trays so they're slim enough to put into a tool drawer (without the case). Both cases are very slim. Hope you and your family stay safe and well.

I was trying to be funny, but also not create total "click-bait". It wouldn't be a bad idea though. You bring up a great question about PACKOUT and mechanics. I remember seeing the first PACKOUT release in Milwaukee, and I thought to myself, "that's cool, but there's no place for mechanics". I've pretty much turned a 180 since then, especially when I see more and more mechanics that are making use of it, whether for storage and organization or for mobilization. I think we'll see this line continue to grow with the mechanics tools and PACKOUT. Thanks for watching.

Off topic but can you guys tell me why there is really benefit to non-impact rated extensions? I get the benefits with sockets but wonder why you’d ever buy a non-impact rated extension.

You can't definitely use impact rated extensions with ratchets, but I typically grab a chrome extension when using a ratchet. Also, many of the extensions typically come in the kits anyway. Thanks for watching.

The packout tax is crazy with these sets. On the home depot website the 56pc (metric and sae) with 6pc screwdrivers is $120 (normally $200)

The squared end of the smaller sockets looks to be wide enough to interfere with using them in tight spaces. I wonder how they work in real-life usage.

The square end doesn't come out any farther than the side that goes over the fastener. They are cut to the same circumference.

@@William1987GTA1 indeed but more than other not impact rated sockets these ones have a higher chance of failure than others for that reason.

No 22mm on the metric? Weird in the standard they go larger than 3/4 of I remember correctly

It doesn't come with the 3/8-1/4 adapter. Also wish it came with a spark plug socket, and went up to 20 mm and 15/16" but it doesn't. And a set with wrenches and color coded sae vs metric, and deeper laser etching like the old craftsman style where you could see the size a mile away. Also I'd miss the button release on the wrench which helps seperate when your hands are all greasy. For me this set is good but it's not the perfection I was expecting from Milwaukee. I'm forced to make my own set inside a packout toolbox. With everything needed. Sadly I'll probably pick gearwrench or Neiko for the actual socket sets that'll go inside. They'll go up to 25mm and up to 1" and have a 1/2" wrench also with more extention sizes and maybe even some popular sizes in 12 point as well. I assume I'll need 2 extra arms to carry it too lol. Adding a tiny led light to the kit and small magnetic tray for screws etc. I'm shocked noone has made this ultimate case yet.

I wonder if they ever thought about making a carbon fiber socket set or if it would ever work. I would bet that thing would be light weight.

Love the channel. Keep it up 👊 Overpriced, I'll pass.

Great tools by milwaukee, but to many packout kits you got to buy just to get a complete mechanic set. Now if Milwaukee had the tool box drawer system like kobalt 4 drawer 286pc set up or Craftsman's 450pc drawer set up. Now if Milwaukee made a tool box carry kit like that. They would be the best in the business by far for moving forward in the mechanic line of system set up. Instead of these bulky packout snap ons. But hay thats just my opinion. But overall cool review.

Like Milwaukee becoming the new snapon
