North Umpqua Basin resident Anne Dorsey is doing everything she can to mitigate damage to her property and the surrounding nature after the Archie Creek Fire in Fall of 2020. Is Pacific Power taking enough responsibility?
Anne says "There's been three fires caused by those power lines...Pacific Power doesn't want to lose money by turning the power off. A lot of this power goes to California."
There are many clearcuts where the fire burned. Logging continues now even though there is danger of landslides. Anne is worried about erosion and landslides harming her home and damaging the salmon habitat in the river. She has yet to see any erosion control from the agencies doing the logging.
